“Great hotel in Truckee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We picked this property because it didn't require a minimum of 5 nights during the Christmas holiday. Our second time to stay in this hotel and we will be back. Location is great for skiing. Lots of places to eat nearby. We stayed at a suite with a sofa bed. The mini refrigerator and microwave were very handy. Spacious bathroom, comfortable bed. Hotel is very clean and looks new. Breakfast was good: many items to choose from incl. made to order waffles, eggs, fruits, cereals, etc. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Great restaurant
recommendation.

“Excellent Hotel in an excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

We have stayed at the Tahoe/Truckee Hampton Inn twice whilst visiting Tahoe. Both times, our stay was very enjoyable. The check-in is quick and friendly, and the rooms are clean and large. The breakfast is okay -- nothing extraordinary, and if you show up near closing time they sometimes have run out of scrambled eggs. It is very conveniently located on the highway a few minutes from Northstar and downtown Truckee. There is a 24 hour convenience store located in the adjoining gas station that is a nice supplement to the lobby store. Once we had to cancel our trip at the last minute. Although we missed their cancellation deadline and had our credit card charged for one night, they gave us a credit that we redeemed 6 months later with no problems. This is our new go-to place in North Lake Tahoe, and without a doubt the finest Hampton Inn we have stayed at.

“Very nice Hampton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2011

In top condition, this Hampton is only about 5-6 years old.
We had a nice stay, everything was good, as expected.
It was a bit overpriced, but there are limited choices for nice inns in Truckee.

“Gem in middle of nowhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

We stopped here for a night on the way from Lake Tahoe to Lassen National Park. Wandered into Truckee for a meal or two and some sightseeing. We were the random guests of the day so were upgraded to a suite which was just sweet! Very comfortable with a whirlpool, 2 televisions and bathrooms, Wi-Fi. Breakfast was free but nothing special. There may be much to do in this area, but it didn't register on our radar.

“Nice Hotel Should Go Extra Mile”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

This hotel is almost brand new and it shows. I only stayed one night and I didn't visit the business resource center, the pool, nor the fitness room. The breakfast buffet was about average. The hot items included scrambled eggs and sausage gravy but no meat such as bacon or sausage. The eating area was very nice and the staff bent over backwards to clean plates and serve coffee. On a slightly negative note, there were two people working the front desk when I checked in and were talking on the phone for an extended period without acknowledging me. I usually like to stay in places where I can walk to dinner but this place is maybe a half a mile from the closest places. One other thing that I found surprising is there wasn’t an in-room microwave or refridgerator. I would go back if I was staying one night but would go elsewhere for longer stays.
