The hotel is very beautiful and the staff was just great. Had a complimentary breakfast every morning. Would definitly go back if in the area.

I can't remember the last time I've stayed in a Hampton Inn, if ever since I generally stay in the Marriott family of hotels when I travel on business. We were upgraded to a suite which was more like a larger hotel room, but included seperate kitchen area with small fridge, microwave and sink. Rooms were up to date and very clean. Internet access was free as was breakfast which was simple yet good. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is far enough from I-80 that it is very quiet (we were on 1st floor near parking lot and didn't hear anything). Would definitely recommend this property for those staying in Truckee area.

Cons: Hotel is not walking distance to anything. No sidewalks. Only thing the hotel is close to is the airport.
Outdoor pool/hot tub had lots of flies and bugs in it.
Room was darkish, with dreary drapes.
Room carpet was dirty and not vacuumed adequately.
Room was set up very strangely. Could not open closet door because it ran into the fridge/microwave stand. Fridge/microwave stand needs to be moved. Can't walk past it without turning. Bathroom door is huge and opens outward, so blocks the room door. Strange.
