We were in L.A. August 21nd to August 24th. We saw that nice little hotel with a banner in front that said: now open.
Wow ! Brand new hotel for only 60 $ for a nice king bed room. That is a deal in L.A. (They have opened in early August 2004).
This hotel is minutes from Redondo beach and the shopping mall.
Very secure place to stay and the staff is also very friendly. They will do anything to accomodate you. The hotel is clean with a very good service.

They have an exercise room (brand new) and free parking. In the morning you can enjoy free coffee and fresh pastry.

When you will go there ask to speak to the manager/owner Mr.Patel. Great guy !
