Stayed here for two weeks in Feb 2012.
The price was good but you get what you pay for.
The staff was friendly and helpful and if you're really on a budget, this place will do in a pinch but otherwise, I'd advise paying up a bit for one of the nicer hotels in the area.

Pros:
Price, & Location.
I booked through a 3rd pary site at an excellent rate.
The hotel is just across the screet from the Del Amo mall so there are lots of good restaurants nearby.

Free internet

Kitchenette (cooktop, fridge & microwave).

The staff was friendly and helpful. They realize they are not working at the Ritz, but I get the impression they take quite a bit of abuse from disappointed patrons.


Cons:
Hard bed, useless pillows and scratchy linnens.
Dirty dishes upon arrival (they glasses were dirty but wrapped in plastic). No dish soap provided.
Dirty carpets.
Air vents caked with dust.
They don't trust you with towels: If you want clean ones during your stay, you must bring the old ones to the desk and exchange them.

Overall: Find somewhere else to say

Stayed here for a full week while I was on business in Torrance. Looking at the hotel from the outside you would think that it was a decent hotel. But looks can be deceiving. In my room was another story. The bathroom had ants all over it and the sink had lots of lime scale built up on the drain fixtures. The bed was miserable at best unless you enjoy sleeping on a slab of concrete. During the stay I was lucky to get 4-5 hours of sleep at night as the mattress was giving me severe back and shoulder pains. They have recently installed 32" LCD HD TV's but the channel line up is minimal at best.

The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Also if you want to cook meals in your room I would highly recommend the "Fresh and Easy" grocery store that just opened up within walking distance to the hotel.
