We booked through a TravelZoo offer. We were beyond pleased, when we checked in and saw the size of the room. It was amazing! the view was gorgeous. From the front desk staff, to the kitchen and the social hour, EVERYONE made us feel at home. Our favorite was the 5-course dinner with wine pairing. Our server, DAVE, was extremely knowledgeable and was a joy to have around for dinner conversation. Debbie & Manya were only a phone call away, to make sure our rooms were prefect and our stay was pleasant. The breakfast was amazing!! Def not your ordinary 'continental breakfast', but actual hearty meals, served by a wonderful young lady (i apologize for not asking her name) who was attentive and always with a smile. We will be back!!

Overall I'd say the Inn was more in the vicinity of a 3-star hotel than a 4-star. The high-points would be the location, up on a hillside overlooking the vines, and the bathrooms, with nice big showers and separate, over-sized jaccuzi bathtubs. The room itself, furniture, fireplaces, fixtures ect were more what you'd expect from an average 3-star location but you're definitely paying 4-star prices.

The wine tasting room was fairly average as compared to some of the others that we tried in the area, as were the wines (I'm no wine expert though). Overall 3 1/2 stars would be an accurate rating, but not an option!

During a recent trip to the Temecula Valley wine country, we stayed at the Inn at Churon Winery. It was a quiet, relaxing and enjoyable find amidst the vineyards and wineries of San Diego County's wine country. From the desk to the tasting room, everyone was pleasant and most helpful. Our room came with a delightful fireplace for the cool winter weekend, a Jacuzzi tub, comfortable beds and a complimentary bottle of Churon's 2009 Syrah.....what more could you want. The included breakfast in their small dining room was another pleasant surprise with everything prepared and presented with care. While we enjoyed several of their wines, we did the most damage amidst the wine-related gifts in their tasting room...great finds for upcoming birthday gifts and very fairly priced. While we joined their wine club which offers a 30% discount on future stays at the Inn, we will return because it was such a nice experience in a beautiful setting with friendly staff.

This hotel offered a promotion through Travel Zoo in which a king size room with a vineyard view would be offered. When I attempted to book three months in advance, I was told this type of room would not be available. This would not be an issue, but for the fact that the room was available when I attempted to book through the website. I explained this to the booking agent, who was very rude, and had no answer as to why I could not book the room that was offered and that was clearly available. I was simply downgraded into a lesser room. I now have a negative outlook on something I should be looking forward to. This interaction and room downgrade has now left me pessimistic about my upcoming stay at Churon.
