The staff was all star. No fake smiles, completely honest and knowledable. At times I was treated like a visiting dignitary. Best part of room was the harbor view. and covered private view patio. Also had a large jacuzzi. Bathroom was small but adequate with good adjustable shower . Located on the harbor and a block from the beach. We stayed at the inn for 3 nights in mid September and were extremely pleased with our stay. It was a vacation before a competition for myself, and being from Atlantic Canada we needed to feel at home and comfortable, the staff did not fail. Our room was clean, with a beautiful view of the harbor, we did not feel cramped as our room was spacious and we had everything we needed within a short distance. The staff were helpful and friendly and did their best to help us when needed.our business then put us up at the Hilton in HB, and though newer and nicer, Internet, business center and breakfast were not complimentary and quite pricey so bigger is not always better!

Our experience was fantastic all the way. Sunset Beach is an overlooked town that is laid back and cool. What a lifestyle the locals have there. A great friendly place and this hotel fits right in. The hotel is very cool and I love how they decorated it. The staff were happy and VERY helpful.

My husband and I stayed here for one night before heading to Palm Desert for a week. The location of this hotel cannot be beat if you are looking for an affordable place close to the beach. It is across the PCH from the beach, in an area that seems to be mostly residential.

I was kind of suprised that there weren't more reviews about this hotel. It definitely seems to be popular, as it was sold out the night we stayed there - maybe people want this to stay one of those little hidden gems.

In any event, the rooms here are decent. They are not very up to date or the most modern, but it did the job in giving us a place that was close to the beach for a single night. They also have a complimentary continental breakfast, which was your standard cereal, fruit, and pastries. One of the great parts was the free parking, and there were a few restaurants within walking distance that were reasonably priced and looked pretty decent. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for shorter stays, and for longer stays, I would upgrade to a better room in hopes of something a little more modern.
