We booked our stay at this Quality Inn because of (1) the reviews on TripAdvisor, (2) the proximity to Great America, and (3) the relatively reasonable price. We were very pleased with our stay, and would agree with all of the positive comments. Our daughter and her sons were given two spacious, connecting rooms and ours was just a short way down the hall. In order to avoid the ticket lines at Great America, we booked a package that included our rooms, admission tickets, and a parking pass. This actually cost us a tiny bit more than paying individually for each feature, but made our stay seamless. Our rooms were larger than expected and spotless, with comfortable beds and abundant pillows. No, this is not a deluxe hotel, but it was a wonderful choice for our family (we especially appreciated the included breakfast!).

The negative comments about this hotel are ridiculous. We go to Sunnyvale for our grandsons baseball games at Twin Creeks. We never stay anywhere else and we are always pleased. We have never had a problem. I think there are a lot of people out there who want the Ritz at a Quality price.

I do not understand some of the negative comments. I attend a convention at the Santa Clara convention center each year. This year our our reservation at the Hyatt fell through (my fault) and we ended up here. We were a bit wary after reading some of the comments but next time this hotel will be our choice. Our room was spacious and all was clean, comfortable and convenient. The included extended continental breakfast more than met our expectations - boiled eggs, sausage,waffles, cereal, yogurt, bananas, toast, etc. It was an easy, short drive to the convention center and having easy access to our car meant we weren't limited to hotel dining. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was surprised and pleased when I was greeted by name as I walked up to the front desk. As I left I said to the clerk, "See you next year," and I will.

First of all, this hotel is a dump. Everything is beyond dated, the place smells bad, and it's vastly overpriced. My main problem, however, is that the staff was unwilling to accommodate our cancellation request. We were military traveling on orders to nearby Moffet Federal Field, and the opportunity came up to get home a day earlier. We called to cancel our reservation, but were told that the 24-hr cancellation policy was firm. The front desk clerk said the manager wasn't available on the weekend, so she left a message for him. We waited for over an hour to hear back from him, only to be told they would meet us half way and only charge us for two of the four rooms. This was unacceptable to us, so we were all forced to spend another night away from our families in a dump of a hotel. One of the guys in our group is deploying within the next two weeks, so it was especially important to him to get home to see his family. We think all of this information was passed to the manager, but we never actually got to talk to him ourselves. There is definitely nothing "Quality" about this inn, and no one from my unit will stay here again. They had our business for one night only, but they have lost any and all future business from us. Avoid this overpriced, low-quality inn!
