My girlfriend and I stayed there one night last month on a whim and were utterly surprised and totally charmed by the place. I'm only writing this review because I really love the place and I noticed some unfairly harsh reviews to which I would like to offer a completely opposite perspective.
The place is indeed jumbled like a thrift store and there are some musty odors, but I didn't find these characteristics at all compromised the comfort and charm of the place. I like the fact that it didn't smell like Mr. Clean's shiny bald head.
Our bed was comfortable and clean.
If you're obsessed with staying in a completely sterile environment, I would bet you'd be uncomfortable here, but then again you probably wouldn't go camping either. That said, I found the place to be satisfactorily clean.
Bottom line: the place is wonderful unless you are scared of old wood, old carpets and cats.
We're definitely going back.
