If you are visiting San Francisco for tourism, get a hotel downtown. Stayed here for 14 days, doing business in South San Francisco. Got a good deal on a room on hotwire. approx usd100/day.
Rooms are clean, and the bed is comfortable.

Pretty much ate my way through the whole menu at the restaurant. Food is fine, service is fast and there is a good atmosphere in the restaurant. Can however be a bit noisy on gameday when all 49ers fans gathers to watch the games.

Charges 10,95 a night for parking.

We went to SF for the NFC Championship game and wanted a hotel near the airport to leave early the next day. This hotel has a free shuttle which saves you money to and from the airport. It is close Candlestick Park and they do have a shuttle you can purchase tickets or walk about 10m to a trolley that takes you there. I will say though...if you are staying in SF for vacation I would pay a little more and actually stay in SF. It is far...about a $60 cab ride or so depending on traffic to SF. If you are going to be doing that all the time....just use that money to stay at a hotel that is walking distance to everything. The restaurant attached...Houlihan's is not bad...good sports bar. The beds, the rooms, were nice and comfy. The bathroom was a bit small but for what we need it did the job perfectly for the price. We got it for $60 a night on Priceline.

A decent stay if you only want to be there a night. Very convenient to SFO. A decent amount of rooms, but not worth the price. My travel agent originally booked me at the HIE just 150 yds from this property and it's a lot nicer and newer. But not a bad hotel. The room smelled like paint and my shower curtain was bundled up in my closet so I installed it myself.

Try looking for Katherine and a few of her colleagues at the Holiday Inn: San Fran Int'l Airport! A myriad of guests ranging from sports fans, tourists, and business travelers alike can easily enjoy and be swept up in this gold rush atmosphere. Parking can be a challenge on a busy night but the level of service from staff members, the specials at Houlihan's and the location create some golden nuggets for value and convenience.
