We stayed at the Knowles Hill House on our way to Yosemite in November. It is an incredibly beautiful home - lovingly restored and maintained with large open spaces and magnificent grounds. This is more of a country manor experience, definitely not the usual Victorian Inn one expects in this area. The Living Room is large, with a welcoming fire where one can curl up with a book from the extensive library. There is also a media room with a large screen for viewing one of the many movies available, or take it to your room and enjoy it while luxuriating in a comfortable bed complete with exquisite linens and duvet. The innkeepers are delightful and we enjoyed their company at the delicious breakfast. My husband summed it up when he said, This is the best B&B we've ever been to."

My wife convinced me to stay at the Knowles Hill House while we traveled to Sonora to see Cats. First off, I was not expecting much....after all its Sonora....well I guess I haven't been to Sonora in awhile and its changed! We had a fabulous trip the B & B was so much more then I expected and so convenient to downtown. We went to the theatre which was a fantastic production and then went back to the B&B where we were able to walk to dinner downtown and enjoy a few drinks without worrying about driving back. My wife enjoyed the antique stores (also within walking distance) and we also hit the local flea market that happened to be going on. All in all a great trip...so much more than I had expected. Thank you to Eleanor and Troy for the wonderful hospitality.

We had a really nice stay. The innkeepers were very friendly and the breakfast conversation was really enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at this place over the Thanksgiving holidays. The house is amazing (I loved all the wood..mahogany doors and such...really breathtaking) and the breakfasts were divine (candlelight breakfast....WOW...I felt spoiled!).
