This is a wonderful inn with many amenities not expected in this class. The attention to detail is apparent throughout the property. From the beautiful and carefully manicured grounds to the rooms of both vintage and nouveau styles, there is an obvious focus on guests and their needs. The furniture is real and the decor is pleasing. The linens are outstanding and the beds extremely comfortable, even for those with "bad backs". I am puzzled by the few negative references to the furniture. It is relatively new. I would say get a clue about wine country ambiance and style. The staff is friendly and helpful. Although the breakfast is continental, everything is fresh and the coffee quite good. There are subtle touches of whimsey for those that notice such things. The pool has a large shallow end and a deep end making it enticing to young and old alike. And, where else do you find a sign that says "please be quiet after 10 PM" instead of "closed"? The rooms are also very quiet for the most part as they are set back from the highway and enveloped by plants and a large fountain. We have stayed here several times, with and without children, and are always wishing we could add days to our stay. Oh, and it's the best value in Sonoma!
