I spent a weekend there in August to attend the races. Its an ideal location for that since we could easily walk to the track. They've updated the decor and it is typical Holiday Inn express; the rooms are clean with good amenities.

Spent one night here in September while we were visiting for the weekend. Went to see a concert at the Belly Up and this hotel is in walking distance. Read the reviews before and knew what to expect. Its a typical HI Express, room was clean and top floor rooms have vaulted ceiling, balcony was nice to have also. Breakfast/lounge room was large, sunny and bright. It opened out on to the pool area which we didn't use but looked nice for lounging and reading a book. Front desk service was great, and free parking was a plus. Many restaurants and a convenience store within a 5-10 minute walk. Beach park nearby is small but nice - too bad there was a sewage leak the week before and beaches were closed to swimming. Overall, I'd recommend this for $100/night or so. Would definately return.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Well equiped with tv, fridge,coffee maker, iron,hairdryer.
Very convinient location. Breakfest is very simple but fine considering low price for the hotel. There is a decent pool outside, free wifi ans free parking which is great in this area.

Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the San Diego area. Within walking distance to the beach and restaurants as well as a short drive to entertainment and attractions. Staff was friendly and courteous. Room was clean with service daily. Breakfast and coffe were hot daily. The pool & hot tub were a great way to unwind at the end of the day. Will definitely be back!
