“clean well run motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

We stayed overnight in seaside to avoid higher hotel rates in Monterey.....It was a clean, average motel room including frige &microwave. great for an overnight stay.
It was a block behind the main drag where most of the other motels were , so it was quiet.
They provided toast, juice, coffee , danish,&waffles in ther small lobby with a couple of
tables. We booked through the motel site with a AAA discount for $43,99 for a Sat. night.
No coffee pot in room. Very comfy beds.
Couldn't beat that price!!!! Would stay there again when passing through.

“Would stay there again when in area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

Stayed in this hotel as a stop on a drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops, including a grocery store, and a short drive to Monterey. Large room with a microwave and fridge and a free breakfast. Close to beach and right off highway. Impressed for the price and motel style.

“Rude front desk staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

I am convinced that the reviews on this website were posted by employees because they in no way mirror the experience I just had with Shirley Garcia, the agent I just spoke to. I called to cancel a reservation according to their 48 hour cancellation policy and all she kept telling me was that I had to contact Booking.com even thought that is not how I made the reservation. She was rude and unhelpful and kept repeating herself over and over like I was an idiot. Turns out, my reservation was actually booked through InLink, NOT booking.com. When InLink called the property to ask permission to cancel my reservation as I was 2 hours after the deadline, I was told Shirley asked the owner himself and that I was" lucky he was in a good mood" and granted my cancellation. With agents like that and an owner who is apparently never in a good mood, I am glad I never had to stay here. By the way, be careful of their cancellation policy as it is VERY unclear. Their website says 48 hours in advance but doesn't indicate that this means 48 hours prior to check-in time. Note to the grumpy owner: cancellation policies should be outlined clearly and your staff should be nicer to people they have never spoken to before.

Room Tip: Service is so poor, don't even bother staying here

“Good for stopover”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011 via mobile

Pros
- rooms are large
- breakfast was decent; there was a waffle machine and lots of bread
- parking's free

Cons
- old school style motel / hotel which is kinda in the middle of nowhere. Impossible to get around without a car
- a couple of miles from the main action in Monterey

Overall:
Most would stop in seaside only because they are traveling between SF and LA. If you plan to do the 17 mile route, it might be more convenient to stay in Monterey itself. Seaside, as a town, has nothing to offer at all. But as a stopover, it's great and definitely worth the money.

“Nice and clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

I agree with the positive comments from other reviewers. It is clean and spacious. We had no problem with wi-fi. Speed was fast enough. It was quiet. The bed was good enough. Convenient location.
Con:
1. They have orange night-light. Kind of weird.
2. No milk serving for the breakfast.
3. Cigerette holes on the blanket. They have spent money repainting, remodelling the bathroom and sink. They should spend a little bit more money to change to all new blanket.
