We were making a quick one night stop and pulled off here. The front desk gal was very helpful. It was quiet, no gang members or homeless people in the parking lot. The parking lot was filled with newer nice cars. It was a gross nasty room, curtains were cut off jagged and uneven and the top of the toilet tank was from another toilet and did not fit. There was nothing at all nice about the room. I would never stay here again.

The building is currently being repaired. Many rooms closed with black plastic over windows. Our room had drapes that were cut with scissors to fit window, carpets that were filthy and a bathroom that was not shower-worthy! Building is 3 stories with no elevator and stairs were outside and uncovered. Continental breakfast was unmentionable with no seating area. Room rates as if you were staying at a better chain hotel. We checked in late and were too tired to try to find better accommodations. Left early.....

I could write a novel on this place but I will just give highlights
Mold on the walls in the bathroom and in the shower
Bathroom exhaust fan bearings out.. Loud and also the vents are filthy
Dirty Walls.
Drywall repairs done by a two year old.
chemical smell in the room
Outside needs paint
moss growing on the wall and walk ways
Continental breakfast was the worst i have seen

I would not stay here again even in a pinch.

We stayed here because of its central location to see some sights of Santa Rosa and its proximity to the freeway as we had to be up early to attend a bicycle event.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful - she asked us if we wanted to stay in a renovated room or a regular room... well, we chose renovated. Why not? The room was stuffy and chemically smelly. The paint and furnishing were nice, but the bathroom renovations were clearly a hack job (who seals a mirror behind a sink backsplash - odd). But I've stayed at worse motels where I could have sworn I saw the remnant of the chalk outlines. No apparent chalk outlines were visible on the nice, new carpet. You guess as to why the carpet is new.

We went out to the nearby brew pub - great by the way - and returned to rest before our early rise. Fortunately my phone has alarm options because the room did not come equipped with an alarm clock/radio. As we lay day to sleep, SIRENS. Ah, get out the travel ear plugs! Being in the prime downtown location, we heard sirens many a time that night seeping though the paper thin walls. Also, the screaming people who must have poured out of the local dive bar felt as if they were in the room with us. (Should've run outside and billed them.)

The next morning we were a groggy mess and I was hoping to get some pool time in before check out. Sadly, the pool was a murky green; a possible base for soylent green. All in all, we got what we paid for: A place to almost sleep.
