My wife and I headed to Napa and Bodega Bay for our anniversary. Little did I know that there was a NASCAR, state fair and cycling event being held in town or nearby the weekend of 6/26. Checked with a lot of hotels and America Best Value Inns was the only one left with a room. Everyone else was booked solid. We had room 123. The first thing we noticed were meth heads walking a path way behind our room. We walked in saw that the bathroom door had a huge crack and the knob about to fall off. I took pics and walked back to the older Indian woman running the place at the front desk. The smell of the lobby was pungent of curry. I love curry so it didn't bother me but I can see how it would others.
I showed her the pictures and she looked surprised. The last thing I wanted was to be charged for any damage to the room. She offered another room (210) so I told her I'd check it out. I walked all the way back to the room, got my wife and went to look at 210. It looked in better shape but not much. That's when we noticed there was no light in the bathroom. We decided we needed light so we kept the original room. I walked back to the lobby and explained to the owner that there was no light. She gave me a look of "oh well" and said sorry. I waled back to the room and that's where the fun began. My wife was waiting and said "feel the table". The only round table in the front of the room so wobbly that if you set anything on it the table would come apart. I took a video and promise to upload it. After killing a couple roaches and washing my hands I noticed that the faucet was not screwed down, the whole thing moved. This place was a disaster. Cigarette burns every where, the chair, the vanity the tub. The plate that covers the cable outlet was on the floor, wires hanging out and the mini fridge and broken microwave plugged into a rats nest of cords. Please listen to me. Sleep in your car before you consider staying at this place. The bed, ah yes the bed - this thing was rock solid. The pillows were rock hard as well. It was the most miserable night I've ever had at a hotel. Starting at 11:00 pm the drunks starting arriving. You could hear everything in the place. My wife and I could hear the people in the room above or next to us flicking their light switch. The one guy next door kept going to the bathroom all night long. All we could hear was his disgusting bowel movements all night long. We heard it all. It was so gross. At 4:30 am I looked at my wife who was being a trooper, and said honey lets go home. We both agreed and left vowing to never stay at another hotel managed by this company. I got home and started writing this review. My neck is so stiff that I'm in extreme pain and can't turn my head to my left. I'm pissed and you bet I'm going to let their corporate office know about our horrible experience. After paying over a hundred for the room I'll never stay at their chain again nor do I recommend any one else do either. To sum it up, this was a meth head motel room. You have to see my videos which I promise to post once I get them off my wife's iphone.
