I don't know the other two reviewers were experiencing but the Pygmalion is a lovely place to stay and the owner is the bee's knees! I mean maybe its them. We are fun loving, warm souled people. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms, it was pretty as a picture, victorian floral wallpaper and a cast iron footed tub with a shower as well. SHe makes her own soaps and they smell oh so fresh. The sheets are crisp and clean, the carpets immaculate. She has these great puzzles downstairs and interesting reading material, you can cozy up with a warm quilt. In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast of homemade muffins and she made us some great pancakes too! Yes, she is an old gal, but hey you will be old one day too..The house is set on a dead end street, very quiet and within walking distance to downtown Santa Rosa, She even told us about a cute restaurant in town. We asked her to come along but she said that the town is for the young. She was so cute. I did hear that her daughter died and it made me so sad for her, I called her and she said "Oh Yes thank you, How is your husband??,," she was pretty normal to me. We paid 120 dollars to stay there. She's just an honest homebody trying to make a living, We will stay there again and again..
