This place has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I’ve stayed in many hotels, nationally and internationally, and this has been my worst experience. I booked my room months in advance, planning to attend my cousin’s wedding nearby. My sister and her family had booked a room in the same hotel so that we could all be together. The day before I was to arrive to the hotel, the manager called me in the late afternoon to tell me that they had to kick me out of my room and move me to a completely different, crappy hotel 5 miles away and in a very shady neighborhood! They said they would pay for the first night, but it didn't matter to me because it was a huge inconvenience and the hotel they put us in was horrible!
The manager lied and said there was damage to some rooms and several people were being moved. After talking to her a bit more, I realized that there was no damage to the rooms at all, but that they had overbooked! When I confronted her about the reason for having to move me, she said “It doesn’t matter because the result is the same.” This infuriated me. Damage due to causes not within the control of the hotel is much different than overbooking, which is completely within the control of the hotel. Clearly, it didn’t matter that I booked months in advance. To make things worse, the manager’s attitude was horrible. She didn’t seem to care that I was upset and when I said I would write a review about this experience on the internet, she responded very condescendingly, “I’m sure you will…”
I was also told by the receptionist several times that the manager would call me back with the reservation number for the other hotel, but she never did! I had to follow up several times. I will NEVER book a room at another Extended Stay again.
