This HGI is better than average. Although you can almost always be assured of a good experience at any HGI, this one is even better. It is very clean and nicely decorated. The lobby/lounge area is a great place to relax and visit. And unlike most HGI, this one serves not only breakfast, but also lunch and dinner in their restaurant. There is also a full bar with a Happy Hour from 4:30PM - 6:30PM. We had dinner here two nights. The appetizers were good and we were able to eat them in the lounge area. Dinners were good and prices ranged from $10 - $15 for sandwiches and $15 - $25 for full dinners. There is a limited children's menu. There is an indoor pool, and this is the only Hilton property in the area that has an indoor pool, which is nice during the winter.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, Sonoma County Airport, on December 16, 17, and 18, and was very impressed with the accomodations and the front desk staff. I got a great AAA rate of $109/night. When I made my reservation online, in the "comments" section, I wrote something to the effect of "will be in the area for an intense 2-day training course. Please give me a quiet room, one away from Highway 101 noise and elevator areas, as I need to sleep well." When I checked in, Denyce, who was working the front desk, told me that she'd given me a 3d (top) floor corner room on the west end of the hotel. My room was quiet, very clean, attractive, and spacious (plenty of space for a king bed, a large arm chair and ottoman, a good-sized desk, and an attractive "hutch" holding a coffeemaker, small refrigerator, and microwave. I even had enough space to roll out a yoga mat -- loaned to me by the hotel -- on my floor). The bed and the bed linens were very nice. The bathroom was nice. Everything in the room worked, and the window treatments were attractive and did the job of shutting out all light. All of the front desk people were friendly and nice -- Denyce even remembered my name two days later! -- and seemed to care about whether I liked the hotel. I will admit to being a "5 Star Hotel Princess": I seriously considered staying at the Vintner's Inn for this trip -- at roughly three times the price of the HGI -- but didn't want to pay that much when I knew I would only be sleeping in the hotel (out all day at my training sessions). I was very happy at the HGI and recommend it. One of the comments I read said something about the HGI not being in the center of things for wine-tasting. Realize this: The wineries in Sonoma County are quite spread out, so you will end up driving to wineries WHEREVER you stay. This hotel is 3 minutes from 101, between Santa Rosa and Healdsburg.

This was a 4 Star experience at this property. Rooms are in in excellent condition, flat screens, updated furniture, granite in bath and inccredible beds. Public space is fantastic, great seating, fireplace. FOOD IS FANTASTIC! They have their own chef, we had an awesome custom order dinner and breakfast. Only one regret...we only stayed one night. I was in town on business visiting Farrow Commercial ( a premier hosptality contractor) and will back in the area again. I will not risk staying anyplace else. Safe travels!

We live in Marin County and go to Mexico on vacation every year. We fly out of the Sonoma County Airport at 6:30 am to LAX on Horizon to catch a connecting flight to Mexico on Alaska. Since the Horizon flight leaves early we stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, Sonoma County Airport the night before so we don't have to get up so early. We just stayed there and the room cost us $132 for the night and the hotel lets us park our vehicle there for the week (7 days parking included in the room rate). The staff takes us to the airport (which is about a 7 minute drive) and they pick us up when we return.

We have stayed there twice now and I cannot think of one negative comment. The staff are helpful and friendly, the internet is free (hard wire or wireless) and works well. The hotel is quit new, clean, quite and very comfortable. They have an indoor pool.

The onsite restaurant is good, though it is part of the lobby. This year we went out to Charles' restaurant at the Windsor Golf Course for dinner which is about a 15 minutes from the hotel. Charles' is very good - a little on the pricy side.

I would highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn, Sonoma County Airport, especially if you are flying out of or into the Sonoma County Airport.

We will stay there next year.
