The hotel facilities are very good. The lobby area is really nice, with sofas and armchairs: you can work/use the internet there having a nice drink and the atmosphere was very good and quite.
The room was good. I stayed in the sixth floor having a great view to the ocean. The size of the room was decent.
The main issue about the hotel is that is not located in the best place of Santa Monica so you have to walk a few blocks to the main area.
Overall it is a good hotel, but little over-priced.

I travelled to Santa Monica recently to attend a conference and ended up staying at the Sheraton Delfina hotel which was about 2 km from where my conference was. Upon entering the hotel, it was quite dark, but nicely decorated and reminded me quite a bit of boutique hotels which I'd had the pleasure of staying in. The front desk staff were efficient and the rooms nicely appointed, but a bit on the small side. Having booked a 'deluxe' room, I expected the sumptuous bedding (sweet sleeper) that I had become accostomed to at the Sheraton chains in Canada. Although the bed was not uncomfortable per se, it was a standard bed that you would find in any hotel chain around the world.

I did order room service a number of times and each time the food arrived very hot and as ordered, but their room service menu is very limited and for lunch/dinner did not contain much that I was interested in eating.

All in all - not a terrible choice and I will likely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Spent five nights at Santa Monica's Sheraton Delfina Hotel, a totally positive experience. Last-minute change in plans meant I had to get into the hotel with only one night's notice. Hotel Reservations worked with me to find the best promotional rate the night before I arrived. Two nights were not available when I checked in, but Irina at the front desk told me to check with her the next day to see if there was a room available. Sure enough, she found the room so I could stay in my original room for all five nights. The hotel is only four blocks from the Santa Monica Pier and beach. Beds were extremely comfortable, hotel was quiet at night -- despite a conference of California District Attorneys all week. Food is not a strong suit here. There's a small dining room and tiny counter only. The bar is small but comfortable and looks out on a small heated(!) pool. Parking is tight as the underground garage requires careful maneuvering. I would recommend this property without reservation.

When I entered the hotel I was impressed by the ultra modern/dimness of the lobby(cozy). The front desk staff was very informative and helpful. I was told I would enjoy my room, it was one of their newly renovated rooms.
Upon entrance to my room I had to stop and rethink, "am I in the Caribbean"? The room had such an ocean feel, ocean blue and beige wallpaper, chocolate, blue and beige striped carpet. The furniture was very eclectic and ultra contemporary. Studded wooden nightstand with 5 different style lamps in the room. I'm so tired of checking in a hotel and there are no electrical outlets close to the bed, not here, there were outlets on each nightstand. Beautiful artwork and a floor to ceiling wooden framed mirror.
The vinyl and wood headboard was ceiling high. Very comfortable bed and large pillows(not those little mushy pillows). Fridge, safe, desk area w/ chair. Ocean blue chair with beige rattan ottoman.
The ocean view from the balcony sitting area was spectacular. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be sending guest here for an ultra modern, eclectic, plush nights rest.
Also, I must say the food was great...Mac n cheese w/truffles...spring salad w/ strawberries, walnuts, feta cheese...yum yum...let's not forget a glass of bubbly for night cap...pleasant dreams
