“Dirty, run down, hotel with horrible service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

This is by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. The beds were the hardest i have ever slept in at a hotel. The manager, Jeff, was not polite in the least. The walls were so thin that when the people above me walked i thought the ceiling would cave in. There was an empty alcohol bottle at the bottom of the pool for the duration of our stay. The ONLY thing this place has going for it is the location, hence my 2 star rating instead of one. Take it from me - spend a little bit more money and stay somewhere else, you will be glad you did!

“Good Location, Decent Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We would stay at Coastview Inn again—in certain rooms at certain times. Rooms 201, 202, 203 and 204 are second floor rooms in front with expansive views of the beach and wharf. Only these rooms have no walkway in front of the window so that you can really enjoy the view. We stayed in 202. The room was standard motel-ish, but clean and with a flat screen TV, comfortable king bed, fridge and microwave.

We arrived at about 2:15 PM, and they let us check in early. On the corridor outside the room, a small receptacle was chock full of empty beer bottles. Not pretty, but the area was cleaned up 30 minutes later when we left for a walk.

We expected noise from Beach Street, but in fact had very little. This was partly due to the room heater making white noise, and partly due to the street not being all that busy on a Sunday night in January. We slept well and heard little noise from the street and no noise from adjacent rooms. Simple but adequate continental breakfast included. The hotel pool was closed. It is small without a view.

So, we would not stay here in high season or on a Friday or Saturday night, for fear of too much noise or possibly a party atmosphere. We would stay here again off season and mid week, but only in rooms 201-204.

Room Tip: If a view matters to you, then rooms 201-204.

“location is great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

The location is great, the hotel average. Parking could be tough if you get there late. Our room had a strange odor, but we opened the window and it got better (and we could hear the ocean!) Our room wasn't cleaned by about 3:30 when we got back, so we did not have any service. The garbage can outside the room was overflowing both days. The front desk staff was very pleasant. The room was a little dated but clean. The bed was comfortable. We had a front ocean view room so we couldn't hear the bowling alley that we could hear when we parked the car in the garage.

Room Tip: Worth getting the front ocean view room

“GOOD PLACE FOR A QUICK STAY”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

My family of three just stayed for 1 night at the INN. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The price was affordable. You are right across the street from the arcade which is GREAT for the Boardwalk. Parking is VERY TIGHT at the hotel. In addition, we had noisy neighbors but around 10ish they settled down. I would stay again. The front desk is EXCELLENT and housekeeping is GREAT. GOOD HOTEL!
