Title says it all! We really were not sure what to expect. We found this place absolutely perfect for our road trip down highway 1! Were hoping to be back there this year....

We stayed in the Abode based upon others' favorable experiences, and we were not disappointed. What a nice, comfortable place in the midst of busy Santa Cruz! The continental breakfast was absolutely delicious -- fresh scones, squeezed orange juice, and other delicacies one would not expect. Privacy of the guests is of utmost importance, so we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Located a short walking distance to restaurants and stores, so it's very convenient. Spotlessly clean -- immaculate in every detail.

My husband and I stayed here over New Year's and absolutely loved it. The property was perfectly clean, non-frilly and comfortable. Pluses include the proximity of downtown and the wonderful, self-serve breakfast with extended hours. Also, we loved the gorgeous landscaping.

My husband and I stayed here twice. This was a few years ago and apparently when it was first opened, because the rates were more affordable for us then. This is truly a special place, and clearly everyone else thinks so too, so they have been able to raise their rates and stay full (only four rooms).

Based on reviews here, it's still great -- quiet, very clean, totally charming, AND walking distance to the great downtown Santa Cruz area. Delightful morning breakfast items. You never see the proprietors but they are always available by phone. Excellent library of DVDs to take to your room. If you want to be waited on by staff and having someone tote your bags for you, stay away, but if you are independent and just want quiet, privacy and comfort, you get it here.
