The pool had murky, cold, dirty water and I could not let my kids swim in it. (See pics)

Regarding the room, the bathroom window had mold and did not lock, the phone had no information on it concerning how to make calls even in an emergency, the carpet was torn, the heater made banging sounds when it turned on and off, and in general the place looks run down. (See pics)

We booked a 3-bed "family suit" over the phone with Expedia for five guests. When we showed up the manager threatened to charge us extra since Expedia faxed him a notice that we only would have 4 guests (a typo). He asserted the fifth guest was undisclosed so he could charge us an extra $20 a night even though Expedia called him twice to explain that our contract was for a room that could accommodate 6 persons. He harassed us the whole trip about the number of guests and even locked us out of our room at one point. (The industry standard is not to breach a pre-existing contract or to cause emotional distress to a family on vacation!)

This place is a dump even by Santa Cruz standards and the management tries to take advantage of people who have nowhere else to stay. Do not book a reservation here without viewing the property first!

This is by far THEE MOST DIRTIEST, NASTIEST, RUDEST, AND CREEPIEST place I have ever stayed at. So much for just a place to sleep but me and my bf couldn't even sleep in that dump,when I checked in I literally started to cry because of how horrible it was, and they wouldn't give me my money back. I honestly felt like people was watching us while we we're asleep that's how creepy it is, its so dirty and im sure theirs fleas or bed bugs there. DON'T STAY THERE I PROMISE U WILL REGRET IT!!!!!

Stayed here for one night on our way travelling up the coast. The inn is located a block away from the beach. Parking was a little tricky given that all the cars are jammed in and its on a very steep hill.

The owner is a lil strange. Whilst checking in he took our phones and had a look and asked how old they were and commented how we must be rich. He then took an extra $40 off us each for deposit purposes. When we asked for this back the next day he was very reluctant saying you rich people don't need this back. I had to ask 4 times before I finally received it back. Whilst I appreciate he may have been joking I don't like having to ask several times to get my own money back!

The wife was constantly walking around looking in rooms so I wouldn't leave anything valuable in there.

The room itself was fine and clean, quite small but ok for one night. We had planned on going out for a few drinks but after seeing some strange people walkign around we decided to stay in. If I came to Santa Cruz again I would definitely stay downtown as it was a lot nicer there!

This place wasn't terrible and for the price it was very close to the beach.

This place is the worst hotel there could be! The room smells like bodily fluids and the room feels really humid, where your unable to sleep in. Pillows are worn out. Parking is a joke! We spent 30 minutes trying to find parking! After that we spent another 30 minutes checking inn. They ask for an ID, Credit Card, and license plate number. If you have more people than what you reserver for, they will charge you $20 extra for each person. Trust me they dont play around with checking how many people there are. The wife will be walking around the rooms. If you lie about the number of people that are checking inn, they up the price to $50 per each person.
