Stayed here at the last minute, the front desk manger was great at check in, and the room was a pleasant surprise! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. i would defiantly stay here again.

Vagabond on El Camino in Santa Clara is perfect location for the family vacation. Great America theme park, Winchester Mystery house, Santa Cruz beach and so many other bay area attractions are in the vicinity. The hotel had all the ammenities and very spacious room. The breakfast served in the morning was one of its kind. These small little things made by stay very pleasant and I would recommend it to all my friends.

Very pleasant staff and the rooms were neat and clean.

Reserved a non smoking room- arrived, no non smoking room available. Night clerk was quite rude. Told me there was nothing he could do & I should go somewhere else. The place was noisy- seemed to be party central. The bed sheets were stained or hadn't been changed. There were also holes in them. The white towels were so stained they were yellow in spots & felt like burlap. I turned on the TV to drown out the people partying & nothing- Was told there was a problem with the cable. That breakfast they have- frozen waffles, instant oatmeal & toast. The coffee tasted like it had been in the pot for a week.
I will not be returning to this place.

My husband and I come to Santa Clara often to visit relatives. We have a medium sized dog and found that Vagabond Inn was the only hotel that would accept him. The room was nice with a microwave and refrigerator and big kingsized bed.
The wifi internet worked very well.
BUT the sign out front advertizes a waffle breakfast. My husband was excited about that because he had experienced a nice breakfast room with a waffle maker and other possilities, like yoghurt and hard boiled eggs at other Vagabond Inns and other hotels down the street (that don't allow dogs anymore). We were surprised to find little toaster waffles and nothing else (except syrup.) There were no tables to sit at and we had to take the waffles back to our room which also had no table.
We'll probably stay here again because of the dog policy, but beware of the breakfast ruse.
