This property is the best it possibly can be.
They took an older motel and turned it into a first-rate boutique hotel property. The rooms are appointed beautifully, furnished perfectly to make a comfortable environment.
The location is close to perfect, one short block from the beach.
But the service from Frank sets this place apart. Clearly, operating this property is a labor of love for him. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, and NEVER met anyone who cares as much, and works as hard to keep his guests happy.
And the daily breakfast spread is simply the best I have ever seen.
You can't go wrong here!

My husband & I stayed here the weekend before Halloween for three nights. After debating between here & the Hyatt (across the street), we choose The Inn at East Beach because I got the junior suite with the kitchen for the same price as a standard room at the Hyatt. Frank was very very welcoming. They also provide a continental breakfast. If you'd like to order room service you can do so through the Hyatt. The two cons I have are for parking & the noise. We came in late one night after hanging out on State St. & there was no parking left in the lot (there is enough for one space per room) or on the street. Also there is a park behind the hotel so the loud crowd playing soccer woke us up on Sunday morning. Overall I would stay here again. I loved the amenities in our room including the fireplace, the kitchen, & the bathroom with a separate sink.

We showed up early in the afternoon and the staff had no problem letting us check in early and get to our room. We had room 132, and it was great. Right above the pool, I was tempted to flash back to my teenage years and jump from the balcony into the deep end. The set up of the place reminded me of the architecture of the Brady Bunch House, or a 1960's apartment complex, Art Deco, kind of. The room was roomy, nice TV, cool that the fireplace doubles as the heater. Free parking was great, the place felt very secure, staff was great, thanks for the wine opener! Short walk to the beach, great walk to State Street for dinner. Bedding was good and comfy, double sinks and mini fridge great touches.

Free breakfast was well thought out and way above average. Coffee was solid in flavor, had boiled eggs, bagels, juices, tea, breads, muffins, etc. You will not leave hungry or feeling cheated. The money saved on breakfast will make you feel like a champ. The personality of the place out-charmed other competitors. Well done Inn at East Bay...

My partner and I stayed here on our stopover from San Fran to LA. We initially intended on only staying one night but were won over by the fantastic beach location and amazingly friendly staff so booked for another night.

Great breakfast - 'grab a tray and fill it up and then come on back for more' was my introduction!

Would recommend.
