We showed up early in the afternoon and the staff had no problem letting us check in early and get to our room. We had room 132, and it was great. Right above the pool, I was tempted to flash back to my teenage years and jump from the balcony into the deep end. The set up of the place reminded me of the architecture of the Brady Bunch House, or a 1960's apartment complex, Art Deco, kind of. The room was roomy, nice TV, cool that the fireplace doubles as the heater. Free parking was great, the place felt very secure, staff was great, thanks for the wine opener! Short walk to the beach, great walk to State Street for dinner. Bedding was good and comfy, double sinks and mini fridge great touches.

Free breakfast was well thought out and way above average. Coffee was solid in flavor, had boiled eggs, bagels, juices, tea, breads, muffins, etc. You will not leave hungry or feeling cheated. The money saved on breakfast will make you feel like a champ. The personality of the place out-charmed other competitors. Well done Inn at East Bay...

My partner and I stayed here on our stopover from San Fran to LA. We initially intended on only staying one night but were won over by the fantastic beach location and amazingly friendly staff so booked for another night.

Great breakfast - 'grab a tray and fill it up and then come on back for more' was my introduction!

This was our pitstop between SF and LA. We got in to the most friendly greetings of Christina and check in was so fast and efficient. I got out of reception under 5 mins with dinners recommendation, room keys, direction to car park, quarters for machine and where/when breakfast will be happening. The room was huge and beautiful. Whoever decorated knew how important a huge bathroom with strong water flow was to a female. The decor was also really chic. One word of warning though, walls/floors are thin. We could hear our rowdy neighbors and those above (not rowdy...just normal...but very very audible). Try to stay in an upstairs room if you can. Breakfast began with the friendly Frank explaining every HUGE pastry they had to you and asking you to nuke'em in the microwave. Not my kind of breakfast but it was just awesome meeting Frank. Really wished we stayed more nights. Great location, next to Hyatt and promenade.

Hop, skip and jump from East Beach, which was a huge plus. Loved the staff; Frank and Christina were terrific. Very good continental breakfast. Clean rooms and comfy beds. We all slept well. Wish there was a hot tub to go with the pool. Only minor complaint is that the toilet paper was as thin as you'll find anywhere. I don't expect Quilted Northern but would have liked a step up.
Will definitely consider returning to this nice hotel when in SB again.
