Would highly recommend this hotel to others. Location cannot be beat, overlooking Cabrillo Beach between the Hyatt and Fess Parker's hotel. Our room was beyond spacious and filled with unexpected upgrades including a large shower and an extra large LCD TV. To top it all off, the staff was so courteous and helpful. Will definitely be returning here on our next trip to Santa Barbara!

This Hotel couldn't be in a better position just across the road from the beach and the cheap shuttle service into the city centre and the marina. There is street parking right opposite the Hotel if you don't want to pay the parking charge that they levy on you when you arrive. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful, they made fresh complimentary coffee for us on the night when we got back late from town and there was fruit and newspapers in the lobby along with a small computer room with free internet access. The room we had was large and well appointed. Sleep was undisturbed even though our room backed onto a small car park. Breakfast was really good and served in a room with beach and ocean views. There is a sunny roof terrace that we found by chance which was much more spacious than the small pool area. The people in rooms that led out onto the pool seemed to think it was for their personal use as getting a sunbed wasn't an easy or friendly experience

Thirteen members of my family spent the weekend after Thanksgiving at the Inn to celebrate a milestone birthday celebration for my sister. The entire experience, from booking the six rooms to the actual weekend were unforgettable. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We were all treated as if we were family. From Javier and Amy at the front desk, to Alec and Jason the car valets, the entire staff went over and above what is expected of them.

Santa Barbara Inn offers an excellent location, not only is it directly across the street from the beach but it's also across the street from the city's shuttle bus stop where we could get a $0.25 ride to State Street. How convenient! Though no where in the hotel did we see new and/or high-end furnishings, all is very well maintained and our accommodation was perfect in that it was roomy, clean, nicely appointed, had a huge flat screen TV, an extremely comfortable bed with heavenly pillows and a cozy down comforter. All this plus a lovely view of of the beach and the sounds of waves to lull us to sleep. Perfect. The hotel also offers complimentary free wi-fi, and/or access to a PC in the lobby, bottled water in room and continental breakfast from a 3rd floor venue with spectacular and panoramic views of the beach AND complimentary access to a neighboring athletic club. All this and some of the most delightful and accommodating staff you could hope for. Park on the street if you like (unless the city is doing road work as in our experience) or valet park for a nominal nightly fee. Of course one is inclined to spend more on parking if one opts to tip for these in and out privileges every time but this can be easily avoided if you choose to use the convenient shuttle across the street. We chose the hotel as we had business in town but plan to make the Santa Barbara Inn our accommodation when we next visit Santa Barbara for pleasure.
