We chanced upon Harbor View Inn and that bit of good fortune made us have the best 4 night stay in Santa Barbara. First of all the hotel is located directly across from Stearn's Wharf... within a 5 minute walk you have your choice of restaurants, bike hire company etc. The staff here bed over backwards to make your stay nice. Gardens and interior are so well looked after. Very clean and not a thing out of place. The view is of the ocean out the front and the hills of Santa Barbara at the back.
We stayed in a Resort City View Queen room.... we are a family of 5 and the room size was so generous that there was ample room for the roll out bed and for us all to relax comfortably.
The weather was unseasonably warm therefore we all made use of the pool and spa and the fitness room. Great supply of towels by the pool and fun had by all.
The girls on the front desk especially Megan were very helpful with a number of our questions and did whatever they could to make our stay as nice as possible.
If the farmers market is on up State Street don't miss it!! Some of the best people watching imaginable!

My girlfriend and I were there on our anniversary and received a complimentary bottle of champagne and were treated like kings the whole weekend long.

Wife and I had a 3 night get away at the Harbor View in Jan 12. Location is easily walkable to the main Santa Barbara attractions. Aside from motorcycle noise (when sliders to our deck were open) we could only rave about the place. Staff treated us great, easy in and out, will definitely stay there again.

“No Hot Water ???”

This is a very nice hotel located in the heart of the beach in SB. Beautiful property, clean rooms, nice beds. The front desk staff was OK except for the fact that they only checked us in for one night instead of two, they called asking when we planned to check out and after a few nice words kept us in our room...simple mistake handled well. The Hot water pretty much sucks, absolutely NO HOT WATER for my shower??? WTF ??? Good parking, bad in room coffee ( Starbucks Instant )....not so good. Great Bike rental place across State St, convenient. Overall this is a clean, nice, property...appears to be managed well. We will stay here again.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are noisy...on a very busy street.

“Great Hotel, one night was not enough”

We stayed here for one night on our way from LA to Monteray. What an amazing hotel and area. Unfortunately we only had one night so we couldn't use any of the hotel facilities.
Recommend it!
