“Expensive!”

Santa Barbara motels/hotels are all way over priced. Stayed at the pepper Tree Inn as we usually stay in a Best Western . Place was clean and quiet but was a way older facility. Coffee in the room but not even a continental breakfast for $160 a night. We were 5 miles from the beach and on a noisy street in the middle of town. Will not stay here again.

I cancelled a previous hotel booking and stayed here. I am so glad i did. What a lovely place.
Excellent location. On main road but not affected by noise. Good public transport. Pretty, efficient, clean modern rooms although a tad smaller than some. Luxury toiletries. Fluffy bathrobes. Fresh fruit and bottled water in room each day.2nd floor room 337. Pretty pool view as requested. Ample parking. Tea and fresh fruit in lobby 24hrs ( no squash for children though). Clean pool. Lots of loungers and chairs. Fire baskets around pool lit at night. Hot bubbly hot tub. small friendly bar. Onsite restaurant Treetop. Eat in or takeaway menu. 3 large burgers and one Large cob salad $38. Delicious.
Only down side was the noisy aircon. Patio doors fitted with lockable fly screen so left doors open overnight. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Peppertree. Would stay again no question.:)

The hotel is far from tha city center and best restaurants. However, by car, you can go to the Hendry's Beach, which has a beautiful sea and a nice walk in the sand. The hotel is old and does not offer breakfast. But, it has a beautiful suimming pool and leisure area very well structured.

Room Tip: Rooms are old, but cleans.

“FABULOUS!”

My mom and I stayed here for three days on a recent trip to California, and we were very impressed. The room was lovely, with a sliding door out to a private patio with table and chairs, which continues out to the pool and hot tub. The room was spacious and very clean, the beds were really comfy, and the linens/blankets etc. were beautiful. The staff at the front desk were friendly, very helpful, and gave great recommendations for restaurants etc in Santa Barbara. I will definitely go back there next time I am in Santa Barbara. It was a real treat.

“Homely and welcoming”

We were welcomed in our room with honeymoon celebration banners, champagne and chocolates! The team were so kind and helpful throughout, nothing was too much trouble. Ok the decor is a little dated, but we found the place very comfortable and got a couple of really good nights sleep. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, complimentary coffee and fruit in reception. It's a short drive from the centre of Santa Barbara, just a wonderful place! Great value for money, and service some of the more stylish hotels could learn from.
