Picture perfect lodging. The room was stylish, comfortable, and very clean, and the property is 1 block from the beach. I loved the spacious bathroom and fully equiped kitchen with complimentary bottled water, teas and coffee. Instead of a continental breakfast, they provide a welcome breakfast basket with fruits, juices and home baked banana nut bread. The bread was wonderful! The property does not have a pool, but I didn't miss it. There is enough in SB to keep me entertained without a pool. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to SB.

This was our first trip to Santa Barbara and upon our arrival and check-in to the Harbor House Inn, we immediately wished we were staying longer. Free use of beach chairs, towels, & bikes as well as a complementary basket of breakfast goodies provided the extra value. Even without those amenities however, the Harbor House Inn is worth it. Our room was very spacious and comfortable -- very nicely decorated and we could've easily made it our home away from home for a longer stay with the fully equipped kitchen.

I had researched where to stay on the internet and found this wonderful place to stay! The owner puts so many personal touches in all rooms! Every room is decorated differently...all with very unique special touches. Very interesting! Very cozy!
We upgraded to a larger suite..loved the king suites! Smaller rooms are super nice...just a bit smaller than what we wanted. Every person we dealt with was friendly and helpful!
Had a great time shopping and eating on State St. and walking along the boardwalk.
We LOVED the breakfast basket!
We WILL defintely be returning to the Harbor Inn!

“Perfect romantic getaway”

My husband and I stayed at the Harbor House Inn for 2 nights, mid-week, the end of September. We may not have been able to afford it in peak season or on the weekend, but for when we went, it was within our budget. It was in a great location, a block and a half from the water. We had a junior suite, which was clean, nicely decorated, roomy. The staff was so friendly and helpful - recommended some great restaurants (see Bouchon and Opal reviews)

Don't be put off by the fact it is a block away from the beach - it's really very close and in some ways a touch more charming being off the main drag. We loved using their beach cruisers to get around - the city is very bicycle friendly. Our room was nicely furnished and they upgraded us for free to one with a kitchen which was nice for making coffee in the morning and keeping our lunch in the fridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations on where to go and where to eat. The welcome basket is a really sweet touch (both figuratively and literally!) The parking is tough if you have a large car so be warned about that.
