My husband and I traveled to SB for a short get-away and stayed at the Blue Sands Motel. We were so impressed with the quality of the motel and the location. We stayed in room 10 which was cute and comfortable with a king size bed. The room has been remodeled recently and was perfect for two people. It only has a shower, so if you need that hot bath pick another room. Just a block from the beach, the location was PERFECT for us. It's a 20 minute walk to State Street and all the action, but the walk along the beach is lovely and if you prefer an easier walk there's always the sidewalk which stretches along the entire beach. Did I mention the flat screen TV, FREE parking, FREE WiFi, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and wine chiller in the room? We will definitely stay here the next time we're in SB! It's a real gem and a great value!!!

Nothing fancy from the outside, but they welcome dogs and it's clean and updated on the inside. Very comfy bed. We had room 4 with a king and a kitchenette. We'll be back.

We booked a two bedroom suite and was just what we needed. A stones throw away from the beach, but a 15 - 20 minute walk to the main bit of Santa Barbara and so if you don't want to walk that far...! It was fine for us though and we took advantage of the 75 minutes free parking in the centre the next day as we were short on time. Excellent!

Walking to the beach, very courteous staff, clean with kitchennette and swimming pool. Convinient store walking distance. Affordable. Tony is very friendly and accommodating. Our second time and we'll be back again next year.
