“Quiet, convenient location & great value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2011

From the moment the friendly receptionist books you in, you're in for a really good experience. The location is convenient for great restaurants and whilst the Motel is on a busy road the layout ensures a peaceful nights sleep. Recently refreshed the rooms are clean and comfortable but basic. Just what I expect from this chain. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a great town.

Room Tip: The layout ensures all rooms are quiet

“DON'T STAY HERE!!! Dirty rooms- stained...”

DON'T STAY HERE!!! Dirty rooms- stained sheets, hair in beds, dirty floors. The in room phone didn't work either. When I called (from my cell) & asked to have the sheets changed, I was told there was no one on property to help me & I could get sheets from the front desk & change them myself. Only they didn't have a complete bed set to give me! Take my advice, pay the extra money & stay somewhere else!

“most horrible experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 April 2010
1
person found this review helpful

the room had a very strong mildew smell, there was a crack in the tub which we assume water had been leaking through for quite some time; I'm certain housekeeping had to be aware of this problem because of all the small black specks of mildew that were all over the bathroom floor; this room should never have been rented to anyone in these unsanitary conditions; we returned very late so were unable to make other accomidations; the room is small and of low quality; we've stayed at this motel before without any issues but after this horrible experience we will not return; overall motel has really gone down in quality/service; take my advise pay the extra ten dollars somewhere else and it will be well worth it.

“Worth the money, if you want a budget hotel/price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2009

Located in the "new" downtown area of Santa Barbara, which is some 10 minutes by car from the beach area. If you are looking for a budget hotel you will be forced to look at accommodation in this area.
Basically you get what you pay for - for the price the room was comfortable and clean, but it is a budget hotel, so do not expect any luxuries.
Recommend the hotel if you want to stay under the $150.00 plus you will pay for the beach area.
