We stayed here for the Santa Barbara marathon and it could not have been better! Breakfast was great. The location was perfect! The rooms were clean, comfortable & unique (in the best way)! I would recommend The Eagle Inn to any & everyone!!

The Eagle Inn was the answer to my prayers for the perfect romantic weekend getaway. I decided to take my boyfriend to Santa Barbara for his birthday. I was searching for weeks for the perfect hotel. I was beginning to think I was asking for too much then... I found it! I booked the Anacapa room which was the smallest cottage the hotel has but the only one available for the one night we were going to be in Santa Barbara . We arrived after the lobby closed but the man I spoke to gave me great instructions on what to do. We found our with no trouble, it was thru the parking lot detached from the main building so there was a small map that was left for us. It was amazing! There was an envelope on the bed (which was thee most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on by the way) that said "open me". It was a birthday card for my boyfriend from the staff at the Eagle Inn. The fact that they took the time to write out a birthday card even though I just quickly mentioned it when confirming my reservation made our stay there feel even better. The fireplace, the jacuzzi with rose petals, comfortable bed, and just a 3 minute walk to the beach was everything I was looking for. The staff was so pleasant and friendly, from the email to the phone call to the check in to the check out. The room was was super clean and decorated very nice... simple but warm. The lobby during check out was very welcoming, we didnt want to leave. My boyfriend and I have already recommended this hotel to many and we will definatley be going back again!!

Eagle Inn is situated in a close proximity of a numerous other similarly priced places in Santa Barbara, but it is at least two notches up from the hotels I've seen there. It's a real value and I am definitely coming back the next time I go sailing there.
The rooms here are super clean, nicely decorated and there is attention to detail everywhere you look. Great breakfast and quality coffe in the morning.
The only thing that they need to improve is the speed and range of their wi-fi network, but even with that they are getting a solid 4.9 stars! Will definitely be coming back.

My teenage daughter and I came up on the train to Santa Barbara for a relaxing weekend. The Eagle Inn is a quick two blocks walk from the train station and pleasant walk to all the shopping on State Street. The reception was quick, efficient and friendly. The room (#104) was not exceptionally large but it was well appointed and very comfortable. For us, other than cleanliness the most important thing about a hotel is that it is quiet at night. We chose the Eagle Inn because it was not located on a busy street. We were not disappointed. Not a sound all weekend. The breakfast was nice and served to us rather than the bland yogurt and breads "buffet" that is often the norm at small hotels. Of course we'd love to spend less, but the rates were reasonable and we certainly didn't feel we over spent for what we received.
