“Believe me the hotel was as bad as everyone says!”

We went in the hotel and ask to see the room, they said we had to sign in first. We waited while the clerk talked to 3 "young women, giggling and laughing". We had seen the parking lot full of them as we drove in, talking to the guard. We foolishly went ahead and signed in and went up to the room. My hiusband said, "No way, we are not sleeping in this filthy room, " We went down stairs and he had a "discussion" with the clerk and we left. No money was refunded us at all! That was a scary event. The guard and the women outside was all laughing at us as we got in our car, I guess they have seen that happen a lot and already knew what had happened. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU STAY IN THAT MESS. WHO KNOWS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOU BEFORE MORNING THERE. I WAS TERRIFIED. WE ARE RETIRED SENIOR CITIZENS AND WERE TREATED AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Nasty, Disgusting, Do Not Stay!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2006

This was a complete nightmare! The rooms were filthy ( I would not let me toddler put his feet on the floor), there was mold growing in the bathroom, the bed linens were filthy and stunk (they were also full of holes and cigarette burns) and the carpet was unbelievably filthy. We did not pay what I would call a bargain price for this hotel -- with tax it was $98 per room (we had two rooms reserved but did not even go into the second one) -- I have paid less for excellent rooms in Holiday Inns and Marriotts, for this price and the "star" rating it was given on another travel site I expected decent accomodations. We were in the room about 5 minutes when we went downstairs to get our money back and leave the hotel. THEY REFUSED TO REFUND THE MONEY!! We were told it was our tough luck, we had signed the registration papers. (Gee, they wouldn't let you see the room until we signed, coincidence?) We left anyway, no amount of money would have made me have my children in this dump!! (We had checked into the hotel after midnight, after leaving Disneyland -- we had to drive around for 2 hours to find a hotel with a vacancy.) Despite the conditions of this hotel, the fact that we were only there 5 minutes (never even opened the second room) we were NEVER able to recover our money from the hotel, the travel service or our credit card company.)

Did I mention the young "ladies of the evening" that were in and out of the hotel? This dump is a definite NO!!! NO stars, no class and apparently no cleaning staff!!

“Creepy”

I stayed here for one night. It was not as bad as the other reviews made it seem. Maybe the motel cleaned up its act. At any rate, the hotel facilities are very old ... giving it a creepy feeling. We felt like we were in "the Shining" or something.

But I was reading the reviews - I didn't think the guests were all that sketchy. There were a couple of people in the parking lot, someone sitting in the lobby and no one made me feel unsafe (I'm 25/female). Well, my boyfriend hated this hotel ... but our biggest complaint is the facilities. To tell the truth I wouldn't stay here again. Biggest problem: shower sucked... it was freezing! It would alternate between warm and freezing cold. The towels weren't clean though (had a funny smell, one had dirt on it) and the room was cold. There was a space heater in the room instead. And the TV color was messed up.

“Do Not stay here, terrible”

This hotel is horrible. I arrived at the hotel to check in, I Noticed there were around 10-15 cop cars in the parking lot. As we walked in to check in, all the cops were standing in the lobby. One cop stopped us on the way in only to tell us there was no way we could check in, there was a "WAR" going on. We coudn't even go into the lobby to advise the front desk since there was a fight going on in the Lobby. The hotel we found to stay at, told us this was the worst area in the city. Meaning, very dangerous. Absolutely horrible experience. Would not reccomend to any one.

“Do Not Stay Here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2005

Do NOT stay at this hotel. It is clearly a transient hotel, and we did not feel safe staying there. The lower floors are rented out to people by the week (the front desk clerk was cagey and wouldn’t really tell us if this was the case, but it was quite obvious). Every lower floor the elevator opened onto had rough people loitering in the hallways and staring into the elevator.

Our room was not clean. The glass elevator reeked of stale cigarette smoke, as did most of the floors. There are handmade signs everywhere saying things like “Do not smoke here” (obviously ignored) and “Tacos for sale in room 314” (could be true… we didn’t go check). The sign outside says they rent rooms for $39 a night. Not sure about the hourly rates.

It is entirely inappropriate that this hotel is positioned through travel websites as a decent place to stay. It is not.
