I chose this hotel because of the quiet area and the fireplace. rooms where 69.99 a night for the king w/fp in their website. I saw they had a package deal so thought i would save some money and get it. Not knowing what the dinners would cost.. I figured 60 bucks. and the breakfast maybe another 20 and castle tickets 50. I figured i was getting a $200 dollar deal for 164. dollars. I was charged 187.00 for the first night and in reality the total package deal cost them 164. Castle tickets $45 Dinners $42 Breakfast $10 They charged me the whopping 187.00 .Deal .....NOT. Then on top of it charged me another $99 for the second night which should of according to internet price only been $69. These guys are not people of integrity. They will get your money out of you one way or the other. Do not trust them. I should have done the $69 dollar night for the room with the fireplace on their web site. and bought the rest on my own.. i would have saved my self 62 dollars doing it this way. If you want to keep your money And not be tricked out of it.. Stay somewhere else. For the price a paid i could have stayed at the best western across the street on the beach side of interstate 1.

We stay a couple times a year and love the privacy! Good location and cheap motel prices! It can't be beat! Better then Motel 6! You can walk to resturants and across the highway to the coast or its a short very short ride! Can't wait til our next visit soon!!

We travelled from Ventura and wanted to take a break before continuing our coastal travel. Chose San Simeon because wanted to see the Elephant seals in the morning and also Hearst Castle. We got a room right at the end of the block, away from the traffic so it was quiet. We had asked for ground floor as we didn't want to drag our luggages up the stairs. The motel rooms are large as we took one with two queen beds. It has a big toilet and the bonus was that there was some heating in the toilet as well so that helps showering in winter.
We didn't had any bad smell in the room or with the beds so overall we are quite pleased with the motel for an overnight stay. I should have listened to the TAs and would have chosen to stay in Cambria if I had knew that they are so close. We went to Cambria for a very nice dinner in the restaurant called Black Cat. One of the best during our two weeks travel!

It is not worth saving a few dollars in exchange for comfort and cleanliness. This Motel sucks. No elevator and no A/C. Room smells bad, mattress is uneven and very uncomfortable. Bed sheets smells bad too. You can tell it has not been changed. We didn't have a good night sleep because we were all restless throughout the night. I would not recommend this Motel.
