Front desk emaployees are extremely polite and courteous, good clean room, ample parking, a lot of food choices in walking distance, including one big supermarket.

I wanted to visit friends in Berkeley, however my wife is in a wheelchair and requires accessible room features for disabilities. We were looking for something modern and spacious as a result. This hotel in San Pablo fit the bill, only 10-15 minutes away. Very nice and exceeded my expectations for a value hotel. Clean, bright, well-maintained. Modern interior. Handicap room had large bathroom and easy to navigate with a wheelchair. Space between bed and dresser was a little tight, but very workable with her large power wheelchair. Room was very near elevator (nice) but still quiet. Roll-in shower with hand-shower head was spacious. Hot breakfast was nice - not gourmet by any means, but unexpectedly nice with many hot and continental choices.

We had a death in the family & made an unexpected trip to CA. The staff was very accomodating when we showed up at 10pm with no reservations. They offered us discount rate (Senior citizen) without us even asking for best price. They had no problems when we asked to switch to a different room the next day (to accomodate more family arriving). They offered us chocolates one night; smiled and said "hi" every day; let us have one other non-hotel guest eat breakfast with us; and gave us stapler, tape & more paper for print outs (in Business Center). All these things were done without making us feel like they were having to go out of their way to accomodate our needs. Rooms were clean; had to have maid come later to clean since we didn't leave hotel till later in afternoon. Wide selection of breakfast choices. We'll definitely be back (under better circumstances)!
