“In a word, Adaquate.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

The first thing to know is that this property is on frontage road of the 101 freeway rather than on the bayside or business park where the nicer properties are located. Basically, it's in a residential neighborhood. Other than that, it served as a decent overnight stay. The rooms were a bit tattered; loose door, dead electrical outlets, etc., but the make-your-own waffles in the morning (a particular weakness of mine) made up for the downsides.
If you arrive by car, there is a nice restaurant, The Fishmarket, a couple of miles south and an In and Out Burger a couple of miles to the north of this motel. Yum!

“Good for a quick, budget Silicon Valley visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

I needed a value priced place to stay for a quick overnight trip to SV. This hotel was fine for that. Nothing fancy but the basics are there. Clean, friendly service, digital thermostats run the box heater under the window. So there's some noise from that. Nothing really walkable from here re: restaurants or shopping. Basic toiletries and a hair dryer attached to the wall. Better than average breakfast included, which has healthy options like oatmeal, fruit and decent scrambled eggs. Lukewarm water for hot tea, but hey the price was right.

“Big room great shuttle service to airport needs updating”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

Would stay again for an airport night convenience.short stay only. Clean but rooms need updating. No sheets for sofa bed. Clerk did not have access to linens. Talked him into getting them from empty room. Shuttle driver was super.

“Comfortable Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

We booked this room so that we could fly out early in the morning, and it was a free stay because I used my Choice Hotel points. I was pleasantly surprised to get a king bed room for the same number of points as a queen. They put us on the top floor, in a really nice room away from freeway noise. It’s more common that hotels will try to pass off the cheaper rooms as freebies. This isn’t a 5 star hotel (nor does it pretend to be), but it’s a clean, comfy, and surprisingly quiet place to stay before flying.

The room itself had a comfortable mattress, sheets, and pillows, and everything was very clean but didn’t smell like cleansers. Wireless was very fast, which helped me get some work done quickly. The AC worked fine, and I had a good night’s sleep before taking off early the next day, which is not easy for me to do. Like other Comfort Inns, the toilet and shower are in the bath, and the sink is in the hallway. This makes it easier for my husband and I to get ready quickly.

I would have given it 5 stars, but the breakfast was terribly inadequate and staff was slow and unorganized. Breakfast started at 6:30, and any motel near an airport needs to expect a lot of early birds trying to catch morning flights, especially on Saturday. We arrived just after a crowd of Japanese tourists who had eaten all the food except a few slices of bread, used all the hot water, and messed up the waffle iron so it needed cleaning. When I reported this to the desk clerk, she said she’d have someone take care of it. 10 minutes later the world’s slowest person finally brought out some eggs and sausage (slowly), and refilled the hot water (slowly) and restocked the bread. She was still cleaning the waffle iron ½ hour after that when I left for the airport. I’ve stayed at many places that provide these sorts of breakfasts and never have I encountered such poor breakfast service. The Comfort Inn in South San Fran (also near airport) is much more prepared and helpful in this respect, and never comes close to running out of food.

I must add, however, that night staff was pleasant and helpful, and seemed to enjoy their jobs and customers.

Room Tip: ask for an upper floor that faces away from the freeway

“the worst breakfast ever”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

the elevator scary, the bathtub sounds like a rattle, it moves!!!, rugs really dirties, bed aceptable, pillows cheapest ever see, bed linnens and blankets : i slept on them very worried. BUT THE REALLY POOREST THING WAS THE BREAKFAST, IN A SEA OF POOR THINGS . IMAGINE!!!. The only truly kind and good was the front desk staff. I was in a hurry and was the third that i found because best westwrn and holliday inn nearby was full. You should book every time you go to SF even near to airport hotels

Room Tip: i prefer not to give a opinion
