The hotel is general its ok , they have large clean rooms , the only thing I dind´t like was the pillows.
the location is convenient if you have a car,because there are no restaurants or shops nearby, but there is downtown san mateo 5 minutes driving.

Right off the the freeway this budget friendly hotel offers clean fresh rooms and a very pleasant hotel staff. Not a luxury property but the rooms were large and spacious. No free breakfast. It would have been nice to have a coffee bar in the lobby as there isn't a Starbucks nearby. Will stay here again when I'm in the city for business.

The Holiday Inn San Mateo more than fullfulled our expectations. From the moment we arrived 12.30pm and check in was 3pm but not a problem they happily checked us in early and up graded our room. And what a great room, we were given a large room. It was quite and the beds were very comfortable with nice linens. Very big bathroom.
The things we liked the most was free internet and parking.
Breakfast was great and all the staff throughout the hotel were very pleasant and helpfull.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone as a great place to stay and great value for money and if in San Fran again we would definitly stay here.

It was a long start and a long flight. Robert greeted me with enthusiasm and impecable service.
Made sure I had an incredible room and really the energy and warmth from the start is making this selection of a fine Hotel very rewarding. Thanks HI Staff, it is always hard being away from home, your commitment truly helps.
