“Horror dump in trendy/rich San Mateo”

Whoever gave this dirty, noisy and unsafe motel the business licence should be fired from his job.
The place is unsafe, noisy and at night there is noone in the office, so if you need a help for safety reasons you are on your own. The rooms are dark since you can't open their curtings for privacy reasons, so you will have lights on during the day. At night you will hear everything through the walls from the nearby rooms (sex, yelling, fighting etc.). This is a sorry place for motel with swimming pool in San Mateo, California where homes values are in millions of $. They have a swimming pool in which nobody swims.

Room Tip: It is very difficult to find proper accomodatio.

“Definitely a No..If Motel 6 were 5 stars, this would be a 1”

The location seemed good so I booked it. It is close to the freeway, walking distance to whole foods, starbucks, frozen yogurt, & Peet's Coffee but the hotel itself was pretty gross and a Motel 6 would have been a huge upgrade. The room was extremely dark with really old, dated, and thick carpet. It faced Hillsdale ave so I needed to get earplugs in order to sleep through the street noise starting at 6 a.m.. After the first day when my towels and sheets weren't changed, I asked what needed to be done in reception in order to have fresh linens. I was told to put what was dirty outside of my door on the sidewalk and that way, they would know it was time to replace them (pretty sure most hotels do it that way afterall). Had a couple of bug bites while in the room and would have to say that outside of a random motel I stayed in on a desert road in Eastern Nevada, it was the trashiest place I have yet stayed.
