We had four adults in a 2 bedroom suite. The room never had enough towels and we had to call everyday. Also there was 1 shampoo as well as a lack of coffee. At the breakfast we had to wait every morning for the scrambled eggs and meat.
We usually state at Comfort Inns and this was the worst service we have ever had.

On this car trip, we spent 9 nights in hotels and this was our least favorite in comparison to all of them, but we would stay here again. It was clean and the beds were wonderful but overall, the facility needs some updating. We had three different people staffing and they were competent but one could have been friendlier; one could have worn a shirt that didn't look like it had been wadded up and the other did have people skills. None of the three were dressed professionally which added to the feeling of not being in an upscale place. The breakfast was adequate but not as extensive as other Comfort Inns. The Quality Inn across the street looked much newer and nicer but we had made our reservations in advance. A wonderful Mexican food restaurant was also across the street and we really enjoyed it. The computer was very fast. Need a clean and comfortable bed in a safe part of town--this will do!

I have stayed in this hotel once last year and everything was okay. It was safe and relatively clean. However, I am currently trying to set up wedding blocks for my upcoming wedding and trying to deal with the Comfort Inn Lamplighter has been awful. I stopped in to the hotel last November, talked to a very nice man at the registration desk, and he left all of the information for the hotel block coordinator. I never heard from him. I proceeded to call and leave messages for him AT LEAST 7 times. When I finally got a hold of him 2 months later, he quoted prices that were much higher than we were initially led to believe they would be when we had stopped in. Based on my experience I would HIGHLY discourage groups from trying to block rooms here. I would not want any of my guests to have to deal with the disorganization I have encountered.

We have stayed at Comfort Inns on and off for years. This one didn't disappoint us although it showed it's age in places. The towels were larger and thicker than most others we had stayed in, the bed was comfy, and breakfast had more offerings than other others in the chain.

The one bothersome thing was that as we were checking in, I thought I had booked the rate that morning before we had left Los Angeles but didn't click the final reserve button so we had no reservation when we got there. I pulled out my IPad to show the guy. When I realized my mistake, I shrugged and then asked to make a reservation. He wouldn't match the price
that I had up on my IPad which I thought was nuts. It was only $10 more but still.....? I was stupid I guess because I also missed out on either double or triple points because I ended not making my reservation online--my bad! All in all, the location is good, free parking and you're not out an arm and leg for la good night's sleep.
