in this hotel you can get comfortable rooms in which extra large bed and also room decoraton was very good. this hotel also provides the great room services as well.

The room was nice and comfy. Breakfast was on the minimal side, but enough to eat.. cereal & waffles mostly. The have a small but decent workout room. Overall a good value for the price.

This is a basic yet very convenient place to stay, in the sense that it's 3 minutes' walk away to bus stops directly to downtown (20 minutes, check vta.com to get timing and routes of the buses and light rail by typing in start and stop locations, either street address, or even attractions), and this inn provides free wifi (with unique user name and password), free breakfast (with Waffle batter and Waffle grill! well, extra fruits would make it nicer), coffee pot, iron and iron boards, which are all essential nowadays. It often happens that if you stay in a 4 or more star hotel, all of above things may be charged extra. It's well worth the money to stay in this inn and have all the conveniences. On the other hand, since this is a inn, don't expect spectacular facilities. The lobby is a little smelly. Generally speaking, the bed is comfortable, the room is spacious, and the front desk is very courteous. I'm very satisfied with my stay there. There's a little grocery store near that bus stop, which may help sometimes. I notice that there are many motels along the road to downtown (for instance, whitehouse inn is exactly facing the bus stop), and you may want to check out others in case this one is not available.

I have just returned from a stay at the Clarion Silicon Valley Inn in San Jose California. To be honest I was slightly apprehensive about my stay there after reading a number of reviews on tripadvisor. My concerns were unwarranted.

The hotel staff both at check-in and check-out were pleasant. They checked me in and out efficiently and were happy to address my concerns.

The room itself was clean and tidy, well up to my particular standards. I was pleased to see that the carpets were clean [considering some previous reviews]. The bathroom was a little unusual as the sink was in the room and the toilet and bath were ina separate room. The T.V. i admit was a little fuzzy, but i spent little time in the room so that had little influence on my opinion of the room. The free high speed internet was definitely a plus; it had reasonable signal during the periods of time i was in the room.

Other reviewers mentioned the "shadiness" of the area, as a lone traveller, i didn't feel threatened by the area. There were no "working" girls around, frankly i hardly saw anybody in the vicinity. So i wouldn't say that it was a shady area to stay in. It's not particularly close to downtown, but i guess you could take the bus outside the hotel. I chose to take short cab rides to and from the hotel which worked out just fine for me.
