“Good for an airport stop-over.”

This is a good choice for an airport hotel, which is all we anted for a late night arrival from Hawaii and early morning departure. It's very close to the airport and is one of those vast airport conference centers. The rooms are all far away, but the rooms are also spacious and reasonably comfortable. No wi-fi available in the rooms, only in the lobby - and breakfast is not included for the standard rooms, but we'd probably stay there again if we were just passing through again.

Room Tip: They all seem to be about the same.

Thank you for taking the time out of your vacation to review our hotel. We understand we take time and we appreciate yours.

We are very happy to see you enjoyed our proximity to the San Jose Airport and we hope you were able to take advantage of our complimentary airport shuttle. We are also happy to see you felt our rooms to be spacious and comfortable. We strive to make every guest feel as if they are in the comfort of their own home.

We are sorry to hear you were unsatisfied with the amenities that come with a standard room. We do have an amazing “Club Level Room” at a very reasonable price. The Club Level includes complimentary wireless internet access, complimentary breakfast buffet at our Sprigs Restaurant, and many more great amenities.

We hope you enjoyed a great and stress-free vacation and your stay with us was pleasing. We look forward to seeing you again, hopefully in the near future.

“Outstanding Hotel”

Near airport but quiet. Very well managed, beautiful property, clean, extremely well maintained. Most helpful and delightful staff. Couldn't imagine a more convenient place to stay in San Jose, Costa Rica.

“Good location and large rooms but...”

The lobby is lovely -- fireplace, large, nice good sized and open lounge area. But you don't usually stay in a hotel because of its lobby -- you really need to get up to your room and work (for business) then eventually sleep. Well, they have decent internet service. They don't provide a real desk chair -- but rather an old dining room type chair. Not conducive to a productive round on the laptop. The rooms are large -- but very dated. Clean. Big flat screen tv and a goodly amount of channels to choose from. The ventiation system needs improving. There is a thermostat on wall, which appears to be informational-only. It has a motion detector on it, so when you are sleeping, guess what? That's right, it is out of your comfort zone. Comfy beds and very nice linens. Their breakfast is decent -- nice assortment of fresh fruits, and the typical steam table offerings. Lastly, parking. $18/day self, and $21/day valet. Maybe they feel they charge what the market will bear. Would I stay here again? Probably not -- why? I can put up with just about all the above except the desk chair -- Still don't get it. Maybe if they ever plan on remodeling. Oh, one more thing -- very cool European toilet -- 2 buttons. Reminded me of a stay in Paris.

We are happy to see you enjoyed our lobby and felt the area to be spacious and comforting. We are also very glad you liked our spacious guestroom and you were able to enjoy our brand new HDTV.

We are sorry to hear you did not feel our desk chair was very comfortable. Please, next time, let us know of the issue and we will gladly bring you a more comfortable chair. We would hate to have you feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable, especially when you are working. We are also sorry to hear you had issues with our ventilation system. If you ever have an issue, please call down the to front desk and they will address the issue right away and find the best solution for you.

Lastly, we are sorry you were unhappy with our parking charges. We have an awesome package on our DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose website that I believe you would be very interested in, our “Free of Fees” package, which include a standard guestroom, free overnight parking, and free internet. We have a bunch of great packages that we encourage you to look that.

Again, thank you for the review; we appreciate the feedback, both good and bad. We hope you stay with us again in the near future. We will be going through a renovation in 2013 and hope your view of our property is changed to a great memory.

“The lobby is the only area that's nice--room and service is unsatifactory”

I stayed overnight at this hotel and will not stay at this hotel again for the following reasons:

1) Self parking costs $18/night
2) Room was dated
3) Heater did not function. I called the front desk and they stated that they would have maintenance come up to check it. Maintenance never came up and I finally fell asleep in the cold room.
4) Very noisy. Doors slammed very louding when guests left their rooms. This occurred midnite through 2am. I would get startled every time a door slammed and I can even feel the doors slamming.
5) I informed the front desk about the heater not working and maintenance not showing up and also recommended that they install some type of device to make sure the doors didn't slam; thus, keeping guests from sleeping restful. I was not offered any consolation.

Room Tip: I do not recommend room 529.

We are so sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. We understand your frustration with the non-working heater, and have forwarded your review to our Director of Front Desk and Director of Property Operations to ensure our staff deals with each and every issue that may occur during the duration of your stay.

We are sorry that our doors were very loud during the middle of the night. The reason why the doors close so strongly is to ensure the safety and security of each of our guests. I have informed our General Manager of this and we are trying to find a solution that will soften the door closing, but still keeping the security aspect of the issue.

Again, thank you for the review, we are very appreciative of the feedback. The best way to fix any problems are to first have knowledge of it, and we thank you for informing us of these issues.

We really hope you stay with us again in the near future and we can change your bad experience into a great memory.

We are happy to see you enjoyed your stay with us while in San Jose. We are glad to see you were pleased with the location and the rest of our property.

We are sorry that you felt our property was a bit outdated. We have recognized this problem and are in the process of fixing it. We plan to go through a complete renovation in 2013 of our guestrooms and meeting rooms. As we wait for our plans to start we have been refreshing as many items as possible in our guestrooms, including; brand new 37’ flat screen HDTV’s, brand new “Sweet Dream” mattress’s, custom designed dressers, and additional amenities.

We hope you stay with us again in the rear future where we will not only we close to the airport, but have amazing guestrooms, in which you will never want to leave.
