I have been traveling extensively to San Jose for the past several months, and the Four Points is now my home away from home...Rates are generally much better than other nearby major flags, and the Four Points flag seems out of place...this hotel feels more like a Sheraton than a FP...The facility is right next to VTA, and has great food right next door too (Try The Grille, McCormicks & Schmidts or Original Joes).

I've also stayed at the Sheraton San Jose quite a bit, but it's not nearly as nice. The FP has free internet for everyone (not just Starwood Platinums), and the decor feels newer.

Be aware, though, that hotels in San Jose/Silicon Valley tend to book heavily Tues-Thurs, so availability becomes an issue very regularly...weekends and Mondays are a breeze, but Tues-Thurs can see nightly rates double quite regularly...so book those stays early!

I found this hotel to be an exceptional value. The historic architecture has been maintained but it is a fully modern and hip experience. The rooms are completed updated with high-end materials. The work-out room is exceptional, with equipment you'd find in a luxury gym. The connecting hotel and bar is also a high-end experience. With self-service parking connected to the property, friendly staff and Original Joe's a 1/2 block away, this is my first choice in downtown San Jose.

This hotel is perfect if you are looking to stay in downtown San Jose and do not want to spend the money to stay at the top end hotels. The rooms are charming, clean and the service was very good. They offer free beer tastings in the restaurant on site and free breakfast with the room.

I stayed here during my sister's wedding. She had arranged for a bunch of rooms at a discounted rate for friends and family to stay. I have to say, the staff was amazing! They were so helpful to provide directions to every restaurant, parking area, etc that the entire group was bombarding them with! They handed us maps, and highlighted restaurants for us.

Our room was clean, quiet and our maid was very friendly.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will return everytime I come to visit my family.
