The TownePlace Cupertino is a fairly new property that is a nice comfortable stay. The property is a good value for the money and would be great for an extended stay. The rooms are a small suite with full kitchen. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, a small stove (with oven) and a full sized refrigerator.
The staff was very friendly at check-in. My only problem was that the one drink machine in the hotel was empty and unplugged with the door open. When I inquired as to where the closest place to get something to drink would be, the desk clerk walked me down to the non-functioning machine. From the looks of it, it had been empty for some time - you would think he would have known.
Decent exercise room. Very nice bedding. Free high speed internet.
One other thing to note, Saratoga Avenue can get pretty busy during rush hour and in order to get back onto I-280 one must make a right into traffic, move across two lanes very quickly and make a U-turn at the light. Better hope you have drivers willing to let you over or you could be going well out of your way before you can turn around.
In conclusion, very friendly staff, nice new rooms, and a very good value especially for an extended stay.
