This is the number one reason why we have stayed there twice.
Plus it's an easy drive down from John Wayne Airport. No matter what time of day.
I actually found it easier to see the exit in the dark!

The hotel is an excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet is SUPER.
I get to try things there that I normally wouldn't bother with at home.

The rooms are spacious. We can watch different TV shows without interruption.
The bathroom really functional.
We are going to buy the loopless shower curtain and the curved rail.
There is nothing worse than wearing a wet shower curtain!
The little balcony is enough to sit out and enjoy the sunrise.

This will be our annual destination for Christmas's to come.
Highly rated for those who have military family at the North end of Camp Pendleton.
THE place to stay.

I have stayed with this facility a couple of times per year over the past several years. Service, facilities, ammenities, staff, and location are very nice. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Probably one of the better breakfast presentations I've seen during my travels. I also stay at Hampton Inns during my leisure travels. I recommend it.

This hotel was literally a breath of fresh air. Very clean and well run. Rooms are large with two separate areas. Bed was comfortable. Staff was well trained and courteous. Very "can do". Location was quiet and convenient. This hotel is definitely an upgrade and worth the extra cost.

They even had popcorn in the room which was a welcome touch. Free breakfast which we missed.

I highly recommend this hotel.

I do a great deal of travel for work and I stay exclusively at the Hilton family of hotels, many time Hampton Inns. Most hotels within any chain are passable with very few rising above indifferent service. In my opinion, the Hampton Inn in San Clemente is exceptional. The management, beginning with Rosalind Batterton and all the staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. It is clear to me that they do all they can to create a pleasant experience for their guests. In fact, I genuinely feel like a “guest” when I stay with them. I can tell that they view each interaction through the guest’s eyes. From how they deal with the parking of cars, to an afternoon Manager’s Reception (which I have not seen at any other Hampton Inn), to how they deal with special requests, it was a joy staying with them. If you plan on staying there, two suggestions: 1) Request an eastern view room overlooking the golf course and 2) walk 10 minutes south and west to the San Clemente State Beach. Great sandstone cliffs, picinic areas, restrooms and a gorgeous beach. All 10 minutes from this hotel.
