We were unable to make a two (2) day reservation at another hotel in San Clemente and decided to try the Best Western Casablanca Inn on a whim. This turned out to be a good decision! This is a very affordable hotel that is close to the beach and several excellent restaurants. Besides the great location, three (3) things immediately got our attention: well landscaped and well kept grounds, friendly staff and very nice rooms. The beds, pillows, linens are what you would normally find at a 4 star hotel. I frequently travel and have to admit that this was probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in. There is a nice gated private area behind the hotel with a pool and a hot tub for guests to use. The continental type breakfast was fair with the typical cold and hot cerals, bagels, fruit, juice, coffee, packaged pastries. They did have packaged hardboiled eggs which is a first for me for a continental breakfast. The continental breakfast, however, was adequate to get your morning going. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and you would be missing out by not staying here for at least one night if you are traveling to the San Clemente area.

We came to San Clemente after few days of hiking in the mountains to relax for another couple of days on the ocean before going home. We found that the oceanfront hotels were way too expensive for us so we looked for the hotels that are few minutes of walk from the beach and found the Best Western hotel, which was 10~15 minutes of slow walking from the ocean. This was the right choice because for reasonable money we got a very good room with a balcony, and breakfast was included. The breakfast was so-so but the room was excellent. We asked for a quiet room with a better view and the room was exactly the one we were looking for. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel. The room was clean, the service was excellent.

I stayed here for two nights in October with my better half. Room size- excellent. Cleanliness: Excellent. Employees were very friendly. Hotel had good ambiance for being a Best Western. I got an agent rate and it was appreciated. Bed was super comfy. Pool and jacuzzi are small but not a big deal. Super clean shower and jet stream tub (which I used). Trust me, this BW is MUCH nicer than the days inn I saw down the street and other places. Great for short trip or business. The only negative were the thin walls. San Clemente is wonderful and I will return one day. Several great places for breakfast, lunch dinner all within walking distance. If you like mexican cuisine, highly recommend La Siesta. Devine.

Hubby & I decided to take a 3-day (9/6 - 9/8) get-a-way and take a friend with us since he "never goes anywhere." Found the BW very easily. We had never been to San Clemente before and found it to be very nice with a nice Pier (& restaurant on the Pier), a nice walking trail all along the beach, lots of shops & restaurants AND the Amtrak and Metrolink trains run right along the beach and best of all could not hear their whistles from the BW Casablanca Inn during sleeping hours. The BW provided a minimal breakfast (cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, hard boiled eggs, juice, tea & coffee). Beds were very comfy & the flat-screen TV's have great reception. Friend had a connecting room. Has an OK pool & small work-out room. It's about a 5-min ride to the Pier and bring lots of quarters for parking meters at the beach between 10:00- 5:00......I would recommend the BW Casablanca Inn!
