Ok, if you have read ANY of my reviews you will pick up on the fact that I am not a chronic "hotel hopper" that stays in their hotel room for the majority of my trips. On the contrary, I usually like to get out as MUCH as possible, usually trying to spend the LEAST amount of time in my room.
This being said, I still like something better than a roof over my head and a clean bed. Trust me, I know what luxury is and I can critic an over the top 5 star facility just as well as I can an eco-lodge.
So how did this hotel pan out? It wasn't as good as I had expected. The room size was nice and yes the location is great because you're just a 2-3 minute drive to anywhere in SC, but I wasn't too impressed with the overall condition of the room or the facility.
Things weren't just outdated, but worn down, which made me suspicious of how sanitary everything was. Free parking and internet are a nice plus though.
The BEST part about my stay was the service. The front desk staff member was very pleasant and accommodating. Was it enough to command a repeat stay the following weekend? No, sorry but all the smiles in the world wouldn't bring me back for the price. I'd much rather spend around $20 extra and stay at a hotel that's much more renovated (by reading other reviews there might be newer rooms available- I did not get one).
I don't want to discourage anyone from staying here, just do your research of comparable hotels first to see what else you can get for the price.
