My daughter and I visited San Clemente after the holidays to spend a few days with my son and grandsons. The one other time we visited that sweet little seaside town, the San Clemente Inn was booked, but this time there was availability for all three days of our trip. Lucky for us!! This place is such a fabulous little hidden gem! I still can't believe all the amenities they provide for such reasonable rates, not to mention the comfort, conveniences, and CLEANLINESS (number one requirement in my book!!!). The staff members we encountered were delightful in all cases; helpful, efficient, knowledgeable, pleasant, courteous . . . no complaints whatsoever from this traveler! The room was HUGE, with a separate bedroom, two pristeen twin-size murphy/wall beds in the living area (all made up fresh-as-a-daisy), fully equipped kitchen (with way above average kitchenware compared to other 'extended-stay' lodgings I've experienced), plus all standard small appliances, full apartment sized refrigerator, tons of cupboard space and oodles of extra towels/blankets/linens/pillows. All the linens were high quality, super clean, and obviously fairly new. All the closets, cupboards, appliances etc. were immaculate, dust-free, and in good working order. I just can't say enough about this lovely inn. It's one of the best I've ever come across, all-around. I find it very hard to believe anyone could ever be disappointed at this hotel. Can't wait to have a reason to go back!!

Had a wonderful stay at the San Clemente Inn. They had a fun game room with 2 pool tables, foosball, ping pong, air hockey and fun crafts in the afternoon. The swimming pool was also nice. Nothing very special, but nice.

We were Grandma and Grandpa in town for Thanksgiving and felt right at home. We attended aand recommendthe regular Monday mixer hosted by activities director Mike.
Needless to say Mike is an enthusiast. There is plenty to do at the resort and nearby.

This is a family friendly place. There are kids around but noise is well controlled. House cleqning staff aqre friendly and helpful.

We arrived late and couldn't access a better room, but Catherine the top notch receptionist urged us to stop by the front desk next morning. Sure enough we got easily transferred to a unit with a splendid ocean view.

Adele's eatery on site is standard for Breakfast.

The hotel itself is dated but unit was clean and housecleaning visited each day to remove garbage and provide fresh towels. Best of all was the location as the beach was a five minute walk away, LA was one hour drive north, and San Diego was one hour south. You could hop on the Coaster train which was a 15 minute drive to Oceanside if you wanted a more relaxed mode of transport - the Coaster took you into the bus terminal in San Diego where you could catch the Historic Trolley Tour or local buses.
