I have been traveling to this area for over 14 months, staying at this Extended Stay every week for the past 5 months. Mark, the day manager is very professional and helpful as well as Cassandra the evening desk attendant. The hotel sits adjacent to the 101 freeway so there is a low level of sound as one would expect. The rooms are clean and neat and have all been fitted with new drapes, carpet, hard flooring, bedspreads, paint and wide screen TVs. Even with the recent face-lift the price has not changed as far as I can tell for the weekly/week-night rate as I usually stay Monday through Thursday. Although you can find hotels in the area for a bit less money they are not as well-kept as this property, nor do they typically have a full kitchen including pots, pans, dishes, etc. For my business travel needs this hotel is a good value. If you are seeking a place to sleep, prepare some meals and get ready for the work day, this place has what you need. If you're looking for a luxurious vacation stay, look elsewhere. I have never heard any sort of disruption as described in another review here. I have never seen the police dealing with transients either.
If I had one complaint it would be that the free internet service could be faster. You can choose to upgrade the speed for $3.00/night but even that higher speed is a lot less than I'm accustomed to. It's fine for e-mail and google searches but not practical for streaming video.
I plan to continue staying at this property every week for the remainder of the year.
