The interior of our room had very modern dark wood furniture. More like what you see in a nicer hotel. The bathroom was updated with tile and was very clean. The TV was a decent size set in an armoire. Our room was over the pass through driveway that is by the lobby. My husband didn't hear noise, but it was waking me up- if you're a light sleeper don't stay in the rooms on the 2nd floor over the lobby. The only problem night was Saturday when there were more cars driving in and out. During the week it was quiet.

The neighborhood is a little iffy, but the parking lot is well lit and we parked near the lobby. My husband is from Sac and said that this area is on the edge of the ghetto where it gets pretty bad. There were some characters hanging around the liquor store that is in the next parking lot on Saturday night, but otherwise it seemed OK. It's close to the freeway, but the noise wasn't bad.

Staff was friendly. The manager is very nice and accomodating.

The breakfast was basic (cereal, toast, juice, cheap muffins), but better than nothing I guess. There's a good restaurant next door.

For a clean, cheap, updated room we'll stay here again.

I stayed here for 3 nights/ 4 days with my Husband. We have just moved back to the U.S. and needed a few days to get adjusted. The room was clean, although the Air Conditioning didn't work well and turned off constantly and had to be restarted. I complained to Front Desk and they just told me to restart it, that sort of thing happens a lot. I also had NO INTERNET the ENTIRE time I was there. I asked about it to the Front Desk and they gave me a run around saying, It will be up in an hour or that the internet works in the lobby (It Didn't). I complained about the internet the entire time, they did nothing. My room keys also did not work half of the time and had to be reset every time I came in. Major inconvenience. The walls are thin and you can hear anyone wandering up and down the hall. Also, the maid service didn't give us fresh towels. I went up to the Front Desk for fresh towels and they told me to go find a cleaning lady/maid. I also complained to Corporate Super 8 and they only gave me their sincerest apologies.

How does their sincerest apologies make up for the inconvenience I had to deal with? I had to drive (waste gas) to Starbucks, buy a drink(more money) and use the internet there. I also had to go to Brookfields Restaurant to get internet as well.

Very Disappointing. I will not stay here again or any of their chain.

You know what to expect when you decide to stay at a Super 8: not a Marriott, not even a Holiday Inn Express. Giving this hotel a 4-Star rating means it is a good choice within the chain of Super 8 hotels. Reason is that the old motel was totaly remodeled recently. Everything is new - from windows, doors, A/C and carpets to furniture, lamps and TV. The beds are by Simmons and very firm, good for back pain sufferers. The owners had to work with the minimal space available from the old motel. I had a King Bed room which was at the border of tolerable in size. The bathroom was one of the smallest I have ever seen: hardly enough standing room for one person! No fan! But I must admit that inside the rooms everything looks much prettier than in the usual run down Super 8 motels. The common areas are still unattractive and not well cleaned. The so-called Super Start Breakfast is nothing but donuts, cereal, coffee and juice in an off putting room with an adjacent public bathroom whose door was always open. Because of this I thaught for a while to reduce my rating to just 3 stars. But maybe the manager reads this review and changes the awful breakfast environment. One more word: The people behind the front desk are very friendly but not equally knowledgeable.

My wife and I stayed at this Super 8 for a night last week. The employees were all extremely friendly and helpful. The property looked brand new. The manager explained that new owners totally gutted the motel and are committed to providing quality stays. Our room had a granite shower / sinktop, very comfortable beds and pillows. We highly recommend this property
