Nice, new hotel but overpriced at any more than$85 night! Lots of space!
This hotel is really awful. We booked it for a month for my husband who was suddenly relocated to the area. When I looked at it online, it looks clean and nice, but the picture you see is not what the hotel looks like at all. Also, on line, it says they'll clean the room once a week, with additional cleanings at $10. This is not true. Once you're there, you'll find out they will clean the room for $25 each time, otherwise, they won't clean it at all. Having someone help out my husband once a week was a big selling point for us. He asked if he could borrow a vacuum, but they charge $35 to use it. I tried discussing the issue with management, they keep promising they'll honor the internet's advertising, but then never show up. Also, the laundry room is completely sub-par, they have 4 washers for that huge hotel, and only 2 work. And forget getting any help in the office after dark, unless of course you want to check in: they'll be glad to take your money.
Seriously, stay away from this hotel. Find somewhere else. I know we will.
Don't stay here it is overpriced for the lack of quality of the room. Terrible part of town with the police constantly pulling people over. A full sized bed with a 17" screen t.v. Thin blanket that leaves you cold over night. The shower has a crazy head that sprays everywhere but on you. NO ROOM SERVICE AVAILABLE (except if you pay extra) unless you stay for more than 7 days consecutively so you have to bring your dirty towels down to the office to get clean ones. Also there were only 2 towels, 1 washcloth, and 1 towel to lay on the floor to begin with. No coffee to brew in the coffee pot unless you go down to the office and pick it up. Have to pay for WIFI... All in all it SUCKS!!!
My girlfriend and I booked the hotel before we left through a hotel website.
The price is what we were oriented around while looking; we basically wanted a place to lay over before taking a train to Eureka the next morning. The stay wasnt bad for 65$. The room we stayed in was average and seemed to be decently cleaned. The TV had a decent selection of cable channels and the bed was pretty clean and comfortable. The shower/bath were good with hot water and nice temperatre control. The bathroom was small, but what do you expect? There was a coffee maker! :) Microwave, stove, refrigerator, alarm clock... annemities were decent.
The hotel staff were pretty nice upon check in/out. The area was ok while we were there, but I could see how it could be a bit dodgy. There was a Mcdonalds and Carl Jr.s Right down the street, so that was very convenient.
For a night's sleep it was perfect for what we needed. It's kind of out of the way from downtown Sacramento, so we had to take a cab to get down there. (26$ :( a little steep for 8 miles or so...). This place is nothing fancy by any means, but again, it was great for a good night's sleep after an exhausting planeride.
Clean room, but the service is almost nil. I asked for a frying pan on the 1st and 2nd day we stayed, since someone took ours out of the room. It was never replaced by housekeeping even after I asked TWICE. I finally went to Walmart and bought a cheap one. The folks at the desk ignore you until they are good and ready to "help" you and then they are not much help. They certainly do not go the extra mile, but you get what you pay for. I am assuming they are paid minimum wage. Good laundry. Cheap enough. $1 wash and $1 dry. If you are spending a lot of time in Sac, the kitchenette will save you $$ when it comes to eats, and lets face it, cooking your own meal is probably better for you.
