I could have had a better experience, even with the best bed I've ever slept in. It was the quality of the bed that I give an extra circle/dot ("very good") to my overall rating.
My first night turned out to be literally freezing outside. I had been running the room heater for most of the night, but it would not warm up above 71 degrees F according to the thermometer on my travel clock. I called the front desk to report this, but since it was late (around 11 PM) and I wanted to go to bed for an early wake up, I decided to have maintenance to check the heater while I was out the next day. In the meantime, I could not burn a log in the fireplace, because it was a "no burn" night. I learned later that it was a voluntary "no burn" night. I needed to use a spare blanket from the closet for warmth. It wasn't a particularly nice blanket and with the thin comforter on the bed, it was barely enough to stay warm that night.
The heating issue was fixed the next day, but I was never really satisfied with how warm the room got. I never bothered to call for maintenance since it would probably be not worth it. It was the same for the wired internet connection. I initially could not connect, had to call for help, got it connected, but on the next night . . . no connection. I ended up using the wireless connection. Both were supposedly hi-speed connections, but I'm pretty sure it was just one grade faster than a phone/modem connection. However, the room in general was comfortable.
Breakfasts were outstanding. Staff are professional, courteous and friendly.
I'm scheduled to be back in Sacramento for business in March and I've booked a room here. Mostly it's for the comfortable bed and the breakfasts.
